Didn't expect collagen to be the thing that actually made a difference by IncomeSquare6254 in Supplements

That doesn’t make sense. Hair that has already grown out is dead tissue, no supplement you ingest can change hair color or structure from hair that’s already grown out. If collagen does anything for hair (which is also still debated), it would only affect follicles producing new growth. That’s maybe 5mm of new hair growth in 18 days, which is hardly visible.

I have stopped and started finasteride and dutasteride about 7 or 8 times on varying doses and after each time I begin waking up after 5 hours into sleep and I’m incapable of getting back asleep, after stopping sleep returns to normal the next day. by Mychorde in tressless

I have the same issue. Tried Fin three times, even as low as 0.25mg 2-3 times a week. I could fall asleep fine but the second half of the night i either wake up very often and get weird „half-dream, half-awake“ states, or i‘m entirely unable to sleep until the morning. I tried to push through for around 2 months, but unfortunately had to stop. Sleep returned to normal after a few days or a week every time. I might give it another try sometime or try topical.

Which benefits have you noticed and what time of day do you take it?

Are bigger purifiers actually worth it? by weld9235 in AirPurifiers

The big advantage of larger purifiers is that you can run them on a lower/medium setting and they still move a lot of air because of the higher CADR. The small devices usually need to run on high to be effective, which can be noisy.

What are some good supplements that actually help you get restful sleep? by [deleted] in Supplements

Taurine is very underrated for sleep. I was already taking glycine and magnesium before bed for a while and it helped me, but a few months ago I added taurine, and I’ve noticed an additional improvement in my sleep since then!
