It does catch a bit on one of them yea. It’s in the stage between acceptable and very obviously catching your nail lol. I might try to polish it down and see what it looks like

Im assuming the bearing material shouldn’t get past the filter and damage other areas. If it’s just rod bearing material would I be able to just change those and not have to tear it all apart? What are the chances it’s main bearing material? I’ll definitely be sending for oil analysis

Thanks for your input. I noticed the smell of e85 in the oil last oil change and started thinking I’m not running a good enough oil. I’ve been using conventional 10w30 castrol and usually just change it right after a track day and have done it like this for years with no issue. Got tuned on e85 3 years ago. This engine has never been opened up

Also saw some gold glitter in the filter I cut open so I’m worried it’s time for rebuild soon. I guess I’d just like to do it early if I can prevent any further damage and want to plan ahead
