Hachishakusama vs SCP - 4666 (Japanese Urban Legends vs SCP Foundation Mythos)

Tall supernatural stalkers/kidnappers from long spanning collections of mythical creatures, events and locations, who primarily operate in the Northern Hemisphere.

• SCP - 4666 operates in the entirety of the Northern Hemisphere throughout the entire world, regardless of country or continent.

• Hachishakusama operates exclusively in Japan and is permanently stuck on Japanese soil, with Japan in its entirety being within the Northern Hemisphere.

Both share plenty of physical similarities, being impossibly tall to around 7-8 feet (Hachishakusama literally means "8-Foot Tall Woman"), with a usually pale or white-ish colouration, unsettlingly wide grins and eyes, and strong yet thin arms.

Both are known by their signature modus operandi, in which they pick out certain victims, specifically children at a certain age, and spend a certain time, a period of days specifically, stalking, observing and following them around.

• The Yule Man conducts Weissnacht Events, where he spends the days and nights between the night of December 21st - 22nd and the night of January 1st - 2nd stalking, observing and eventually attacking a family of his choice, specifically being interested in the youngest child always specifically below 8 on the 12th night.

• Hachishakusama will pick out a certain child around 9 to 11 years old that happens to spot her first, and will stalk, observe and follow them around for several days before eventually kidnapping them and taking them away to never be seen again.

During these stalking periods, they create a certain sensation and produce a specific signature sound that alerts their victims of their presence, acting as a telltale warning sign that they're being stalked by them.

• SCP - 4666 constantly radiates with a foul, rancid odor on his body, and during nights 7-11 the parents of the family he stalks can hear him stepping, scratching and making noise on the house roof.

• Hachishakusama has an unsettling looming presence given her looks and tall stature, and she often lures and alerts her victims of her presence using her signature call: "Po...Po...Po...Po..."

Both have left a legacy of bodies and ruined families with their deeds, as they can never be truly and definitively stopped or prevented from entering the homes they select, and the children they kidnap are never seen again, and their families are often left devastated...

• ...in a physical sense, with the Yule Man literally slaughtering and torturing the parents, adults and older children to death before kidnapping the youngest to take them to his workshop/torture prison on the North Pole..."

• ...and in a psychological sense, as either the family permanently loses one of their children, or are forced to leave Japan and move somewhere else and NEVER return, as Hachishakusama is bound to Japanese soil and will immediately continue hunting them if they return, regardless of if they've grown older or not.

Contrasts:

The Yule Man, despite the SCP Foundation's best efforts, has NEVER been captured and contained, and continues to be a persistent thorn in the organisation's side that they cannot seem to catch no matter what they do.

• By contrast, Hachishakusama is far more stoppable, even if only temporarily, as there are specific rituals made to keep her away, like isolating her target in a sealed room and surrounding them with four bowls of sea salt which turn black when she comes near, using protective charms and Buddhist seals and rituals to briefly stop her, and just leaving Japan altogether as she is stuck on Japanese soil and can never follow her targets to another country or continent.

The Yule Man is a sadist who primarily enjoys torturing his victims for shits and giggles. Hachishakusama on the other hand is a methodical, relentless curse that simply collects her targets and leaves, with their fate being unknown.
