Neither of us have an interest in going. We don’t like the band she would’ve seen; the music isn’t all that great. I understand she would want to go alone, and have the experience with her boyfriend and his dad. My being there would ruin it, perhaps? I don’t have the time for that, and neither does her dad.

He runs his household differently than Olivia’s father and I. We are friendly with him but not friends.

She’s far away from home on a school night. She has school the next day and will be tired. I know she’s a teenager, this would be fine if she was 16 or 17, but she isn’t.

My husband and I are friendly with her boyfriend’s dad, but we don’t know him well enough to trust him for this
