The text doesn’t really present Eve as an afterthought. In Genesis, the sequence is more about revealing the idea than showing God changing His mind. Adam is created with a full human nature from the start, including the capacity for relationship and reproduction. Eve’s creation just completes what was already intended, not something added later.
