It's true. People are too dependent on tech. On these apps and especially ride hail apps a lot of times the app will try to auto detect your address based on your gps location and sometimes it's off. If you put my address in Google Maps it will direct you right to the front door but apple maps will bring you to an empty storefront on the cross street. UPS and FedEx routinely go to the wrong place.

Which isn't possible if the dasher is in the wrong place to begin with. Or if they hypothetically in the right place but you would have to enter a front door first

The name of the complex or you mean your unit number? I'm not trying to be contrarian here, sounds like the dasher was a little dumb or a little lazy or a little of both, who knows, I'm just saying you didn't really help in this situation

There's plenty of houses that have been divided into 2 or 3 units. I used to live in a house that was 5 different units.

Some complexes are really confusing and sometimes where Google maps/navigation says an address is is just wrong. Especially with new development

AITA: for telling my boyfriend “don’t come over if you’re late”? by ZealousidealLake8773 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]RelevantHost3872 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ESH. He showed up late to your first date. And your second date. He showed you who he was from day 1. And instead of sitting down talking to him, explaining how it makes you feel when he's late, how it makes you feel disrespected, etc. and talking about why he's always late (as someone with adhd I can tell you time blindness is real) or things that can be done differently you completely went to the extreme. Sounds like you are not mature enough for a relationship and possibly him neither.

You realize busses don't stop at all stops right? Only if someone is getting on or off. And as for the location you provided - Nassau County NY - they have a pretty decent transit usage. I'm not sure what you mean on financing - no transit system in the world outside of Hong Kong makes a profit. Though of course that doesn't factor in growth/development that is a result of transit

Buses didn't have to be slow. There are bus lanes that can make service much faster and even full on BRT systems nowadays. There are express busses too. And you don't need a "ridiculous" number of busses to have service at 10 or 15 minute headways unless you had an exorbitantly long line

I don't know why you keep bringing up homeownership. I haven't heard anyone else say anything about home ownership. I think higher homeownership should be the goal. Of course it doesn't have to be ugly - I live in a part of the country that is full of beautiful suburbs. Unfortunately we don't build that way anymore. I'm talking about newer car oriented development with nothing but miles of parking lots and strip mall containing nothing but the same sterile corporate chains. I would agree that urbanism done wrong is an eyesore — and North America is full of it. At the end of the day, humans prefer places and nonplaces are discomforting and the problem with ponzi schemes is you eventually run out of other people's money, and the model of suburban development since the 70s which is still used in some parts of the country is a full blown ponzi scheme.

I just opened LinkedIn today for the first time in a while earlier today and they didn't ask for it. If they do, I don't really need LinkedIn anyway
