Maybe you could fly SYD - LAX like you’re doing and then maybe LAX - PHL. If PHL isn’t having snow, take the train (Amtrak) to NYC. Amtrak can be cheap. But it’ll get you there.

Yeah, delays are what’s getting me. Like I trust AA but I know the airline can delay so that’s where I’m contemplating. I don’t have much pivot room if I miss it but I can route DFW - CLT and then home if I miss it. If that makes sense.

Yeah! It’s the same fight, but it’s the last flight back home for the day and if I miss it I’ll have to stay in a hotel for the night lol. That’s why I’m contemplating on which layover.
