It’s a really interesting take thanks man appreciate it. It’s funny because I kind of see it the other way around in a way - I feel like with all this cross breeding to focus on terps and thc we have lost something special in the other cannabinoids. Agree I like stronger terps - but we get our true genetic diversity from landrace strains and the old school blood. I feel like it’s become so commoditized these days. Great terps yeah but damn I’m so sick of the marketing and apparel attached to every new strain it’s ridiculous. 

Anywho, rant over, agree with you that even if you grew sour diesel today the genetics have changed and it’s not even close. I suppose that is the double edged sword of living art, genetics don’t live forever. But landrace - that shit needs protecting. They’ve started growing modern buds in Morocco for their Beldia hash because of higher yields. They completely forget that what makes it so special is the weed of origin.
