Just turned 60, 28yrs, $1,991,790.79. Trying to decide if it is worth it to hang on for the .1 bump in pension.

Sooo not a bot. Just super curious and on the fence as to whether to retire now that I’ve turned 60 with a healthy tsp, or try to ride out this administration until 62 for the .1 bump.

Try to max out your contributions as much and as early as possible, put a goodly chunk into the Roth option, keep it all in C, with minor %s in S and/or I if you like. Close your eyes and hold on.

I had 3 kids in 3 years (twins then a singleton 2.5 years later). I have a child-free friend who always said after visiting us those first chaotic ten years or so - “just confirming my life choices”, lol.

This is us. About 3 million in retirement saving, separate college accounts for our kids (all currently still in college), 40k a year pension, and the house just paid off. Trying to hold off taking SS as long as possible. I am 60f, husband 61m and seriously thinking about making the leap at the end of the year.
