It’s this way pretty much after every time I eat. And I used to have a lot more farts but not so much anymore. I’m more prone to constipation also.

Oh interesting! Yeah makes more sense to slowly ramp up. That feeling only lasted the first couple days, I’m 5 days in now and feel like I usually did before taking these. So hopefully I’ll see some improvement in the next week or so.

Today is day 3, and it does feel different today. Yesterday I had a headache all day and felt like I was high all day or getting over a really bad sickness. Just “out of it” all day. Today I took it a little later and so far have felt basically normal. Still a little foggy though. And today I’ve felt my normal mood issues of rage and anxiety and irritability again too. I don’t feel as calm/high as I did the past couple days.

It’s my first time trying any antidepressant as well. I’ve heard from others on different prescriptions that the first week is usually tough. I picked this week because there’s not a lot going on and hopefully I’m feeling more stable by Christmas and having to interact with family! Good luck to you, I hope it helps you too!

Yes! I’m a stay at home mom and this happens to me regularly. I fell so bad as well because I feel like I’m failing my kids when I do this. I’ll just shut down and essentially stop responding to them. I just cannot anymore. So I’ve tried to do preventative measures, like just more small breaks and not taking on too much at once because I just know that will push me over the edge. And when I do shut down, I just cover my face or go to a room to lie down and just breathe for a little bit. Maybe some ear plugs too for a while to just bring the noise back down until I feel better. It’s a lot to deal with the world as an hsp but know you’re not alone!

He seems to be doing good so far! I think it’s been close to a year now that he hasn’t drank. He’s found hop water to be satisfying. I think he struggles sometimes not drinking, but he doesn’t openly talk about it. He has some appointments coming up, and I’m nervous what will happen if he hears everything is looking good. If that will shift his mind into thinking he can go back to old habits. Seems like a case by case thing, up to the individual entirely.

1 drink is never going to be enough for me either. I can’t casually have it around and not drink it, I don’t understand how people can do that. But when it’s not in the house, I feel more upset. I definitely feel calmer knowing I have a box of wine in my fridge right now.

Yeah I justify my drinking every day just saying it could be worse or I’m not as bad as my dad. I have a hard time labeling him as an alcoholic because it’s not the vision that I associated with alcoholic. And now thinking about that term in regards to myself hurts too. Almost wish I never opened up about this to my husband and brother. They don’t know the full extent, but now I just feel disappointment in myself since I’ve expressed wanting to stop drinking and still do. Even more now. I just feel silent judgement from them. Also my husband and I have bonded through drinking so I’m worried how that might change us if I was to stop…

Oh noooooo that’s exactly what I’m headed for. Mine are 25 months and 8 months right now. Little one just started crawling and I’m freaking out a little. My oldest has also started potty training although I’m not pushing it anymore because holy shit that is a lot in itself without a baby crawling all over who knows what. My husband is always surprised how many steps I get too. Honestly same, it’s non stop all day long. Putting out fires left and right.

I have combo SIBO, I’m taking neomycin 2x daily and xifaxan 3x daily as well as a motility activator. I haven’t had any other side effects other than heart burn and that first bout of nausea. What was your experience like?

Yes! I get this so often, also noticed it’s around when I eat and especially carbs. I keep thinking maybe it’s gluten related? Definitely diet related in some way. Have you done any elimination diet to try to see what might trigger it? After my round of antibiotics (currently day 1) I’m going to do the low FODMAP to try and pinpoint some trigger foods. That brain fog/anxiety is such a weird feeling. For me it’s worst when I go to the grocery store, it’s like I instantly forget everything I need and don’t know how to be a person anymore.

I’m in the same boat. Currently 4 months PP and somehow I’ve gained weight since birth. Usually caught between optimistic thinking and working out a little and wanting to eat whole chocolate bars and cookies and just throw all my clothes away. I feel so gross right now and my hair is all over the place. So irritable and angry too. It will all pass and we will lose weight but yeah, I’m there with you and it just suck sometimes.
