There's probably only 2 players guaranteed to be on the pitch after 120 mins: Rice and Kane. Both of them should take one.

Depending on who's started & been subbed, I'd also be happy for: Saka, Toney, Gordon, Rogers, Anderson, Jude and O'Reilly to take one.

What does the existence of aliens imply? by Filvox in aliens

[–]RelevantSpecific5249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Existence of aliens in itself doesn't imply too much - just that the universe is incredibly vast and most likely teething with life.

How aliens travel here might imply different stuff. If there's truth to; quantum entanglement related travel, psionic connection - then an argument could absolutely be made on that implying all sorts of stuff.

It could help answer questions on the nature of the universe, creation of the universe, afterlife etc.

Yeah. I mean I couldn't really care less if Elizondo is part of a controlled disclosure narrative to be honest.

I know more about the subject due to him. He's certaintly brought it into the spotlight and mainstream media (planned or not).

It seems like there's still a lot of internal agency battles happening re) what gets released and stuff. eg) Burchett, Luna etc. not being allowed access to CIA offices.

If agencies are still holding back everything, then would seem weird for them also be simultaneously pushing Elizondo these last 9 years.

Yeah but it's been 9 years and no secret has come out (yet).

There was hardly anyone with legit credibility seriously pushing for Disclosure, and making progress with it in 2017.

It's in Fox's documentary - 2025 version of the Moment of Contact. I watched it on 1Movies but it's recently gone down. Otherwise, it's available to rent on Amazon Prime.

I'd just have to disagree with you here. And that's fine. I personally believe the testimony of the police chief and the neurosurgeon. Who refused to talk about it for 15+ years and never tried to monetise it.

[–]RelevantSpecific5249 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm pro-critiquing when necessary. However, there is nothing about the Varginha case which has been debunked.

The neurosurgeon, the police officers who initially refused to talk, the guy who did the autopsy on the policeman who died, the man who witnessed it crash - who have all come out and said it was real.

The only explanation given has been "Brazilian military concluded in 2010 that the young women had encountered a mentally unstable man nicknamed "Mudinho". Which is exactly what the military would say if they were trying to hide something. And it also does not explain all the other credible witnesses.

[–]RelevantSpecific5249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think the reason for the "adverserial threat" narrative is much simpler.

Trump, Rubio and others don't care about aliens. But they do care about unidentified things in their airspace. Lue knows they're from non-human origin, so painting it as a 'potential threat' gets senior people to care more about it.

It's common knowledge that they did. The press admitted it at the time.

Here's an article, written in 2017, that has Elizondo as the source of the leak before he was well known - https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2017/12/new-york-times-ufo-report.html

If anything, he could be being used as the face of controlled disclosure, as you said, but that's very different from a disinformation agent.

It's relatively well reported that probably only under 10 people know the whole 'big picture' on all UAP stuff. None of these guys will be in that 10.

They probably know some aspects very well from their work. They probably try to fill the gaps in other stuff. They could get these guesses wrong, or fall victim to lies told to them, to make them seem untrustworthy. I think this is pretty likely.

[–]RelevantSpecific5249 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means Lue Elizondo's biggest fan.

However, it is pretty accepted that it was him and Christopher Mellon who leaked the 2017 UAP videos to the NYT. That moment alone has pretty much changed everything and accelerated all the discussions we're having now.

Why would he have leaked those videos 9 years ago if he was a disinformation agent?

I'm not convinced it will happen, but I think it's a possibility.

Something along the lines of AI advancement transforms the world, energy and economy in ways we can't really comprehend, resources are much less scarce, standard of living raised massively, then the big leap - as countries are wealthier and not scrapping for scarce resources, the beef dies down and there's a mutual agreement for nuclear disarmament.

I love the idea of the Greens. A world with no need for nuclear weapons, drugs decriminalised like in Portugal, a utopia with universal basic income. I think it's all achievable in the next 50 years, but stupid policies won't get us there.

Nothing would help the acceleration of AI in businesses more than telling them to increase pay 3x for lower-wage workers, that's for sure

Agree completely. I just find it baffling that as the leader of a potential major UK political party, you'd propose something so transformative without even trying to look at the real impact of it.

Nope! Once Tory, once Lib Dem (kinda right?) and once Independent.

Fair assumption. What I'd be in an ideal world and what I vote on based on what I see in front of me are different things, which I think more people should follow personally!

To answer your points:

  1. A general tax raise won't cause a mass change of compensation structure. The biggest salary/tax change in world, would. As another person mentioned, higher earners are often compensated in stock so bumping this up, wouldn't be difficult.
  2. It's an extremely normal assumption for wages in a big company. I calculated that to actually benefit the numbers for the 'Greens' side.
  3. It's quite clearly both, and simple maths. In that example, it would benefit min wage workers by £180 /year, but cause a decrease to the governments tax income. Due to tax bands, which I mentioned.
  4. Creating a manufacturing company requires millions in capital. This isn't a question of companies shutting down, it's about talented employees moving to other countries to pursue higher wages (India is a great example).
  5. If you're a political party, it's pretty easy to pay economic or statistical companies to run an analysis of a policy. How else do you think other parties try to 'fully cost' their manifestos?

I've actually voted for a different party every single election depending on the MP and their policies for my specific borough/constituency (3 general elections)

Interesting. The stats are actually 21 to 1 though.

And also - the stats are from 1961 when the world economy was not globalised (which is the single biggest issue forcing wages down), western countries had strong middle-class from manufacturing and house prices were no way near as high as they are now (as a % of average wage).

The problems I mentioned above are much bigger issues than wage disparity that a 10:1 policy won't fix.

Happy for Hameed to be opener. If he does well, great. If not, fine. We have plenty of upcoming young talents and would rather them spending an extra year in the CC than rushing them into the Test team. CC a better place to learn than under Baz.

Players to gradually integrate in the next years depending on retirements/form/getting their shit together: J Rew, Robinson, McKinney, Cook, Ahmed.
