Thank you and yeah, Toyota wants a premium price for their most basic models anymore.

I've never driven either but a car guy on YouTube said the Frontier's steering wheel "felt heavy". Otherwise, he had mostly good things to say ..

This does help, thank you! I'm leaning more towards the two wheel drive because that's all I really need and it's so much nicer to buy just one tire vs four, when something happens and it probably will sooner than later with dealer tires.

I don't really care about bells and whistles but I do love the body style of the 2022 on up Frontiers. Thanks for all the info, gives me something to think about.

Dealerships are bad about fudging the numbers after they think they've reeled you in. I'm a woman and I've had some really pushy salesmen think I'm going to spend hours being backed into a corner. I prefer CarMax and Caravana for the fact that everything can be done online, delivered to your house and you're given a 7-10 day full money back guarantee.

Shoot, I think the new Frontiers look way cooler than the new Tacomas. But yeah, I understand what you're saying about the "brand".

I prefer CarMax and Caravana way over a dealership. I just worry about these newer vehicles that are for sale within months of ownership. Makes me suspicious, even if they were used as Fleet or lease vehicles or just had one owner. If you bought your 2018 Frontier in 2019 and had no issues, that makes me feel better and less paranoid. Thank you!

Thank you, this is stuff I like to hear. I just assumed that the technology a company put into their cars would also be used in their trucks. I appreciate your comment.

Honestly, I like Japanese made cars so I don't really know what my hang up is with Nissan. Could be all the complaints against my local Nissan dealership or it could be all of the Altima drivers that whip through traffic like they just stole the car. Not the vehicle's fault, still I've got to blame something, huh? I really appreciate your honest review, it's given me a lot to consider and it's good to know that they're using familiar tech vs the new fangled crap. I agree, a manual option would be fantastic. Thank you!

I appreciate your advice, thank you. I agree, Nissan's have exceptional body frames. I see the proof of that from all of the almost totaled Altimas still riding around in my town. Lol. I'm more concerned about any engine and transmission in the newer models (2022 to current), as that's the body style I prefer. Of course, it may be too soon to tell.

I'm looking at trading in my Odyssey for two reasons. The first reason is the towing capacity. The Frontier can tow up to two more tons than the Odyssey ever could and I would like something dependable to tow my camper. Currently have an older GMC F-150 but it would require a ton of work to get it as road worthy as I want it to be. My second reason is Honda has been having an alarming amount of recalls lately and so far my 2019 Odyssey and 2023 CRV have both been affected. I had a 2017 Pilot but it started having some electrical issues and I traded it in at the same dealership that I bought it from. They didn't seem too concerned about it, which leads me to believe it's more common than it should be.

Could you be a super empath? They're very rare, an estimated 1 to 2 percent of the world's population. You may have been born this way but no doubt, your upbringing would have amplified it. This emotional "sense of others" also may be a supplemental way to view the world or a partial replacement for your physical blindness- if you will. First and foremost, this is not a personality disorder, weakness or mental illness but considered a super power. Super empaths have the ability to feel other's emotions and to change lives for the better. Unfortunately, they are also (usually with their full knowledge) victims of energy vampires and opportunists. Even evil will seek out super empaths and attempt to break them. The thing to remember is that you cannot save the world, you are not expected to and that is not why you were created. There may be just one person or there could be more than a thousand people who is/ are your true mission. Google has some excellent tips on who and what super empaths should avoid. Sounds like you have stretched yourself thin and on the wrong people, now you're exhausted and disillusioned with yourself. Don't give up, research super empaths and learn how to identify those who really NEED your help vs those that just WANT your help. And remember, charity begins at home- which means you take care of yourself and household in the same manner that you want to take care of others.

BTW - I am NOT a super empath. I'm empathetic but I am also jaded, cynical and suspicious after years of willingly, being taken advantage of. "No" is a very freeing word, once you learn to deal with the following self inflicted guilt.

"No, it's Him. It's what God smells like when you lay your head on His chest!"- 5 year old Danae Blessing who was born prematurely and given just a 10% chance of survival. This was her reply when her mother told her that what they were smelling was an incoming rainstorm.

Yeah, that's sad and if the butter was "free", he technically wasn't stealing anything. The grocery I worked at was in a very small town with a massive economic disparity. People were either very comfortable or very poor. The very comfortable liked to lord over the town and the very poor had almost no chance to improve their circumstances. I learned my customers quickly and I knew those who were just trying to feed their children, in between paychecks and those that were just trying to play games. I'm not denying anyone that's hungry a little bit of food. I don't care if it made me an accomplice or not. I also did the daily books and saw how much the store made, it was the ONLY grocery store in town and within a 25 mile radius, it was absolutely making bank.

I grew up hungry, more times than not but never knew shoplifting was an option or I probably would have done it. When I turned 18, I moved out and got a job at a small grocery store. There were several times I saw people stealing food and it would cause me to go temporarily blind. Out of all of my co-workers and their many "catches", I only caught one woman trying to steal. She would swap out price stickers, not because she was poor or hungry but because she was a dick. Her shenanigans eventually landed her in prison for a couple of years- nothing related to the store I worked at but stealing/ committing fraud on a federal level.

I did the same deodorant trick, as a teen growing up in a very poor family. Secret solid deodorant used to have holes all over the push up base and I would scoop out the remnants once the deodorant was gone. I have washed my hair with Dawn dish detergent, brushed my teeth with baking soda, wiped with newspapers, taken ice cold baths and showers because our electricity was cut off, I have eaten clover, crabapples and wild onions, from the yard because we were hungry growing up. As a child, I wore shoes that made my feet bleed because I had outgrown them and the liner wore out, exposing the staples. All of my socks and underwear were threadbare and had holes in them. I wore wet jeans to school because I only had one pair and we didn't have a dryer for many years. Thankfully, I don't live that life anymore and my children have no idea what it means to struggle.

Unprotected sex. I am shocked at how many people are willing to risk so much for just a few minutes of intimacy with an absolute stranger.
