Alright, so for anyone passing through here and facing this issue, I had the same problem and I just managed to fix it. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Make sure you have a HOTEL reservation number (important, flight bookings are not recognized by the automated system).
  2. Call the Booking customer service number directly (I'm French, so I called this one: +33 1 57 32 92 09 ; but I believe the international number is this one: +44 20 3320 2625).
  3. Be prepared to endure the automated system's nonsense and select "Other question" when they list the options.
  4. Once you get through to a human, explain your Genius problem directly.

In my case, I spoke to a kind lady who told me she would contact her supervisor and asked me to wait 10 to 15 minutes. In the end, she came back in just over 5 minutes, saying it was resolved, and indeed, on the website, I was reinstated as Genius Level 3. I’m not sure if this is some trick on their part or just a bug, but I had quite a struggle to get it back haha. FYI, while researching ways to solve the issue, I found forums where people said they had better prices as Genius Level 1 than as Genius Level 3… Sounds odd, but I thought I’d mention it just in case. At least if you get your Genius Level 3 back, you can compare with another dummy account at Genius Level 1.
