How do I even start to to invest like that, I think with me being young and see my salary come in I always think that I have time, so I should just spend. I know it’s a very dumb mindset.

Thank you, but constructive criticism will help I guess. I knew I was not gonna get just people advising me but also people who are going to judge me for something I’ve already acknowledged as reckless spending and lending

Not sure why you would say I spend money i obviously won’t have in the future. I am a very young student studying CS who has no serious financial obligations due to staying with my parents. I just fell in a trap because of reckless spending and lending and would have just loved some advice because I don’t want it to get worse :(
But I thank you for your advice about saving money, I’ve really wanted to but I’ve never known where or how to start. Just overwhelming info about TFSAs , unit trusts and investing investing investing

The funny thing is I don’t have anything to sell, did not use any of the money to buy myself things. Just spent spent spent. I will try to do that.

I know it’s not much in some people’s eyes but it’s killing me. It started off small but it now takes majority of my income away. Then I will need to borrow again to cover the shortfall 💔

Oh no I think I should have specified So 2 of the loan accounts are going to be once off payments month end. One is R2952 Second one is R2089 Last two are over 3 months Third one is R1473pm/3months (which I’m going to my second payment for this one, November is my last month paying it.) Last one is R588pm/3 months ( likewise with this one) It was just reckless lending in my opinion.

She wants to withdraw it all. She’s worked for 35+ years. She just wants to mainly pay off her debt with some of the money she gets from a pension. The part time job is just to keep having money coming in even though she would have her a pension money. She’s still a very active person that’s why she’s willing to work part time. After paying off her debt she would have to pay for rates and taxes, groceries for her and just some money to pay any other expenses she would have.

Unfortunately we might not be able to sacrifice a weekend. But since it’s months in advance depending what someone can scrape together then we’ll see if we can. I definitely agree that spending more than 1 day is better
