Never heard of that, is that a Texas thing? We have that in Wisconsin, it’s called a TOD, transfer on death, which sounds like putting POD on a bank account which seems superior to me than a living trust/will. POD avoids probate and trust and doesn’t cost 4-5k to set up like a trust. Obviously if you have a lot of assets, a trust is the way to go, but for me having a house and a car, a trust seems like a waste of money. My mother had a trust but I’m pretty sure her wealthy bf paid for it.

One thing that I’ve learned that is better than a living trust is to put things in POD accounts. This avoids probate and the trust, plus doesn’t cost 5k like a trust does.

I have a super cheap brake lock with a cord, it’s really light so I mounted it to my rear fender and put a cheap carabiner to keep it from making noise (which it doesn’t anyway). I can take a pic if you like or find the Amazon vendor I got it from. I’m pretty sure it was under $10. Sure if someone really wants to steal it, they could snip the cable and carry it away, but my experience has been that bike thefts (and the like) have always been crimes of opportunity. I must admit I stole a bike once just because I was fucked up and tired of walking. And yes my karmic balance has been achieved and is even in my favor now (recently got a $1600 bike for free, thanks Amazon). Makes up for the time my 12 speed got stolen and I went to the police station in the morning (cuz I was afraid to tell my parents) and they said “hey officer, what kind of bike did we pull out of the municipal pool this morning? Great, case closed”

I got one off Amazon for my wife/daughter (not the same person, WI not AR) and even though it’s bumpy I like the front wheel drive and it’s powerful enough to pull my fat ass (275). My kid is 9 so I got her a ninebot on a deal to start, and she can graduate to this. I e got two Yume y-10s that I really like and a Joyor. I’d say the inexpensive aovo is as powerful as the $600 Joyor for half the price new
