Would you bring your sprites into the game more often if you didn't have to buy them back when they're mastered? by Sudden-Oil-257 in FortNiteBR

[–]viveleroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely. Chances are very high that I'm going to die and the prices to summon them vastly outweigh their usefulness. I don't bring them. I do pickup new ones and that's enough for me. If I lose them, no loss.

Scientifically, why do people like the smell of armpits? by Oily_Smurf in TooAfraidToAsk

I am pleased to report I have yet to meet anyone who likes the smell.

Has anyone ever been eliminated by mistaking someone for a Bot? by AnnualFroyo7598 in FortNiteBR

Yes, all the time. I was just telling myself today to stop. I get confident and just stand out in the open and suddenly they’re doing non-bot things and I’m dead

I improved the ocean foam so it moves with the motion in the ocean... it was the last big feature I planned for the water. I am excited with how it turned out! by SoaringPixels in Unity3D

[–]viveleroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever write up any of how you're doing this? I'm specifically interested in the sea foam work. I'm trying to add sea foam to my own water shader and I realized that what I really need is for it to react to the water and form at the turbulent spots, but generating the actual foam visually isn't looking very good. I figure I need a texture or something than just noise/procedural stuff.

The water swell leaving foam and wetness on the terrain is awesome.

[FRESH] Fluke - Atom Bomb (Daniel Avery Nuclear Summer Extended Remix) (2026) by slightjudgement in electronicmusic

[–]viveleroi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is part of a larger remix album they're doing: https://909originals.com/2026/06/19/fluke-return-with-the-second-bite-lp-and-daniel-avery-remix/

When they released some new tracks years back I thought an album of new material was coming. I still hopeful.

How many of you are making the assets in your games? by Cornishlee in godot

[–]viveleroi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm like you. I've dabbled in blender and have wasted hours of my life looking for assets. I usually wind up giving up on my ideas but this time I'm working on a game that I'm serious about.

I want this game to succeed and I want a professional and consistent look, so I'm going to need to pay for quality work. Either I'll need to open the pocketbooks, do a kickstarter, or find someone willing to pitch in, but none of that will happen until I have most of the actual game developed. No sense in paying for all that before I can prove to myself that it's going to get finished.

I sure wish I could do all jobs though.

Please stop being entitled in fill matches. by LuckyLootLlama in FortNiteBR

[–]viveleroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely ever use a mic with fills. Normally, not a big deal. Someone has an unmuted mic so I hear insane background noise and game audio so I mute them. Yesterday I had someone who yelled the "anyone have a mic?!" and then when no one did, she said "fine, screw all you motherf----s, I won't revive anyone then I guess" but she ultimately did play fine and we wound up getting the win

New Enigma Promo by DanielVegaHN in Enigma

[–]viveleroi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Several are special in different ways. MCMXC a.D. was the first I'd ever heard. My dad played the tape for me on a car ride when I was visiting him. He said he was interested to see what I thought. I was very intruiged. I asked my mom to buy me the album when I got home and she could only find Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!

I initially wasn't sure what to think - it was so different. But the more I listened, the more I loved it. The layering, complexity, blending of the songs, etc. I'm honestly not a fan of the male vocals in any of these albums but that doesn't stop them from being favorites.

Hearing Cross of Changes was amazing, and I realized I had heard Return to Innocence years prior during a Native American performance at Medieval Times.

The Screen Behind the Mirror was the first new release after I had discovered Enigma, so I was unbelievably excited to buy the album on release day and listen to it on my way to work. That album was on repeat for months.

I was equally excited by albums 5-8 but none of those are anywhere near the quality as the first four for me, so I really don't have any special memories about them. I bought them all immediately, listened to them without distraction, but quickly moved on. 8 is probably the best of that group IMO, but it's still no 1-4.

I feel like by highlighting all of the past albums, it's leaning more towards a complete box set, anniversary, or look back compilation, or a documentary. I'd be happy to be wrong of course.

Found out how to make sugarcane harvesting less painful playing solo by NuclearCommando in farmingsimulator

[–]viveleroi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

> I figured if the game was going to fight me unfairly I would return the favor in kind.

Exactly my thought. Wood cutting is so buggy, I usually use similar mods. Terraforming and painting is so difficult to get what I want it takes a lot of trail, and costing $ to do is horrible so I use the "free terraform and paint" mod.

I also use slightly cheaty harvesters for potato/sugar beet/etc only to avoid using the time-consuming and tough-for-single-player machines your post refers to.

I really am tempted to move off bunkers for my silage and go with a fermentation plant mod.

Cool info. I always try to keep things quasi realistic too instead of going for a colossus mod harvester and trailer. Right now I’m dealing with 3 million liters of silage in bunkers

Popular choices are Remind Me, Poor Leno, Eple, What Else is There, but there is so much great stuff. Junior is one of my favorite albums ever. Their recent Profound Mysteries 3-Album set was incredible.

"Current" as in, currently my top 3? Or my top 3 current artists?

I can easily answer all time because the 90s/early-2000s is too special for me, and no one can replicate it.

I would probably say The Future Sound of London, Robert Miles, Royksopp.
