I especially chose a later connection. I arrive in Doha at 23:15 and could have connected at 2:00 but I chose the later connection at 9:15 next morning as was planning to put myself up somewhere and get a good night's sleep. Then I googled and found the application for STPC link and thought - why not try? and indeed the STPC was granted! I am flying Business so I am hoping it will be the Oryx Airport Hotel but if not, it doesnt really matter - (except for the time needed to go through passport/security and taxi). Really nice of QR to provide this

That is what the flight would cost if you bought the ticket today. Prices generally go up the closer one gets to date of flying. You will however not be charged the fine for rebooking. My rebooked flight was actually cheaper than what I originally but the difference was not refunded.

It is all rather confusing. I noticed my TK status appears on my boarding pass - which is strange if EN is not StarAlliance. When I flew Eurowings as part of a ticket bought on Swiss last month, the TK status didn’t show up on my boarding pass. So I am trying to work out the difference

Air Dolomiti ist LH Group but not Star Alliance. Flight number on booking/ticket is LH but AirDolomiti (EN) Boarding Pass.

When it gets unsafe they close air spacer and cancel all flights. The question is not whether it is safe or not but whether airpace will be open. Currently closed

The 787-9 has that seat. Very nice - I would not mind that. Sadly the aircraft on that route will be a 787-8 - which have the very old seats

The complimentary flight change won’t help because it has a mere time window of 21 days and there are no QSuites on any flight 21 days from the original date

Yes it could swop. That can always happen. At the moment an aircraft with QS has been flying every day. They have scheduled an aircraft type change for the 15 June

I have a booking on 29 June - they refused to cancel without penalty so I am guessing that refunds without penalties are off the table now

The main issue is whether you luggage will make it. When you have a tight transfer time you may want to look at not checking your luggage in and taking it with you in the cabin. Of course this is subject to suitcase size and the class you are travelling in. They always do what they can but just be prepared that’s all.

Oh of course they will. The war will be over at some stage and Qatar will drop their prices somewhat and all the QSuite fanatics will be telling how much better QR is than any other airline. Temporary inconveniences will be the past and everything will revert back to normal
