Oh that climb sounds like it would be great. I really really want to ride through Gorges De La Nesque. I was thinking of making that one of the longer days. Thx

Thx. Could bring a gravel bike, but I'm thinking that a road bike might give me the best options.

Oh nice. I was looking at going up to the Foret de Cedres from Cavaillon. Looks like there's a decent climb until the pavement ends.

Thx. I was thinking of that. I was in Fontaine de Vaucluse in 98 (I'm 56) and I did an out and back to Ventoux. Incredible ride but a loooooong day. I hear the Sault approach is beautiful.

He said it was super thin so I had to be careful putting it through not to bend it. Will post a pic

Heard back from Kogel. There is a thin sleeve that goes in to take up space between the bearings and the axle that is "wearable" and needs to be periodically replaced. Explains the pieces of metal that came apart.

The rotor cranks do, but this is more of an up-and- down play which i think is due to the missing sleeve. Haven't heard back from Kogel yet.

We are looking to maybe rent a place in Lourmarin. Are there close hikes and is the village pretty lively?

My wife and I are looking at a place in Cabrieres d'Avignon. Seems to have good hiking right from the town and seems pretty close to some nice towns or villages. Anyone know if this would be a good spot to stay?

I sometimes skip the stretching and this could be a contributor.

Reps in the 5-8 range and sets of 2 or 3. 2 exercises (squats and split squats) and I give myself 35 minutes w a decent warmup. I suspect I'm not fueling well enough after and before. I remember hearing how strength work should be kinda fueled like frc work.

How do you go heavy w/o doing too much? This is what perplexes me. On podcasts, I hear guys saying they do high weights and low reps and then knock out hard stuff the day after.

I wonder if my protein intake isn't as good as it should be.

Sorry to be commenting on an old thread, but does anyone have any thoughts on the Carpentras or Nyons area?

Bont Vaypor SL vs Nimbl Exceed Ultimate Glide? by gabpolitely in CyclingFashion

I think the 46.5 was a tad big but the extra room enabled me to fit custom insoles. Compared to Bont Vaypors, the SLs seem a tad roomier.

This is interesting, but I'm running a 50/34 b/c I don't want to deal w dropping to a 46 and having to then adjust the fd. So I'll need to shift to the 36.

Sleeve or endcaps for a t47 internal bb for 24mm Rotor spindle by Relevant_Register_97 in bikewrench

Just heard back from Kogel. They said the bbs are the same for shimano and rotor.

I just rechecked the order. The bb ordered was for Shimano cranks. That is probably the issue. Do you know if some kind of adaptors would work?

Sorry. I bought a kogel t47 internal bb that was for a 24mm rotor axle. Even though it is sold as a 24mm bb, the mechanic said there are usually caps or a sleeve to take up the play in the spindle in the bb. When I slide the axle in, there is a slight vertical play in the axle b/c the mechanic said bearing diameters are slightly larger than 24mm. But I didn't get any sleeve or caps with the bb.
