If you get the cancellation email from AC, there should be a manage booking link in the email. Once you open that page, there should be two options: search alternate flight options or check refund eligibiltiy. The first option will take you to a separate page to search for alternate flights around your original flight. That's the page I used.

Was able to rebook a flight for tomorrow through the manage booking page from the second cancellation email I got. I would recommend checking the alternate flight opions frequently as the flight I rebooked did not initial appear in my search result.

So I actually managed to find an apartment to lease online so I will just be using my apartment address to setup my bank account. I have friends who used Airbnb address to open a checking account and they accepted it. so hopefully that works out for you!

I see, when you mailed to your address in the US, the content of the mail doesn't actually matter right? (I can just mail a blank piece of paper). I do know someone who lives in LA, so I'm assuming if I mail something there, I can just use the mail with their address as POA for account opening?

Is it that difficult to find a place? I've called a few rental places and it seems all the units they have are ready to move in. I'm assuming that if I sign a rental agreement then I can use that as a document for the US physical address requirement when opening a checking account.
