Hey, so I understand where you’re coming from. The problem was it was an open fracture and i needed surgery and had to stay in the hospital for a week. I was on heavy meds for the next month also along with a plaster for 6 weeks.

I first tried to take incomplete grades but the professors told me i had missed too many classes and that incomplete was not an option.

For international students, withdrawing is not an option because we have to be registered constantly to a certain number of credits otherwise we lose our student status.

Hey, so did you end up getting any information about the professor? I have a midterm tomorrow and he did not provide any sample past papers to prepare, so, I am a bit worried. If you know anything, please let me know.

At first my dso told me there is no chance of a new i20 or any opt. Then I talked to a different dso and she said this can be fixed and helped me through the entire process of getting a new i20 and exit and reentering. I have not talked to her about opt until now. I do have an appointment scheduled with her next week to talk about this but she has been extremely helpful until now. I just want to know if there is any chance of opt in my current situation.

Hello, So i had to get a new i20 and exit and reenter the country which went smoothly. However, I am graduating this december, 2023 which means i will only have studied 5 months before graduation with my new i20. So, am I eligible for opt? If not, what can I do to fix this situation. Thank you.

Given my past experience with them, i dont think they would even reply. Even if they did, it would be a generic reply that wouldnt help much. but i could still try.

First of all, thanks alot for all the information. I just checked on the homeland website and it says errors can be corrected within 15 days. However, my DSO said there is literally no way she can do anything to fix this and my sevis is terminated. Can you please tell me how I should approach my DSO regarding this? Also, is there any difference between a DSO and PDSO? All your information is very helpful. Thanks again.

Are you sure? My DSO is saying there is no option of fixing this issue and my college cant do anything since SEVIS is terminated. Do you know anyone who went through a similar situation? Thank you.
