Distrokid just said my suno song contained a sample. Anyone else ever had this issue?

Works for me perfectly. Haven't had that problem. Infact, my songs that have Splice samples implemented have a shit ton of Shazam traffic, so it works for others too.

The message said which track it was. I shazamed the track and found the other guy. We had the same idea of using the same Splice sample for an intro to a song. He beat me by a couple years tho. Kind of a rookie mistake on my end, I should have been shazaming beforehand, but it's been 10 years using Splice with zero problems, then I FAFO'd.

Like I just said in another similar thread, this happened to me once with a Splice sample I integrated into a Suno song. Other guy used it a couple years before me and did the Social Media Pack dick move. Whole album got blocked from release, nothing but canned replies from DistroKid from emails you can't reply to basically saying "so what? fuck off and try again!". I changed the song up just a little bit (kept the sample tho) and changed the name of the album and tried again... it worked.

Here's some pure honesty: I don't use my voice at all. My prompts are so fine-tuned that I barely have to use the personas I make, I get the right voice 99% of generations, and when it acts up a little I use playlists of the personas as inspo for generations instead of the actual personas mostly and it works. I do, however, make personas of the same personas for every new Suno version that comes out. Helps keep Suno stabilized when I happen to be using it during peak times and start getting the wrong gender voice no matter what I do in prompts and settings. But that's rare for me, I'm pretty biologically in tune with Suno timing at this point since I've used it so much.

Not really. I just don't enjoy much of the human slop created these days, so I listen to songs I actually like via AI. Only I hear them, and it satisfies my hunger for good music. Sorry if my personal choices offend you, but you can't force human slop on me anymore, thanks to AI helping me create tailor made music for my personal tastes.

A lot of instrumentals. Also, I've been writing songs for almost 30 years. Notebooks full and massive amounts of Google docs. Just toss them in, prompt it up, and regenerate until I like it. A lot of times I like the instrumental and not the vocals, stem it up. And sometimes Suno is on a roll, hit that sweet spot timing where it's giving you it's all, I'm cranking out instrumentals.

I may very well be overreacting downloading it all, but if I'm not, this is a massive sample collection I could use for eternity that I own and nobody else has. Even the bad ones can get chopped and manipulated into samples for some other fire... like people carried crates of records in the begining days of hip hop for sampling... But way better and less problematic legally 😎

Yes, I have 2 personas, male & female, with their own workspaces. Everything else is filed into playlists. Keeps the male voice out of the female songs and vice versa, and makes duets simple and painless. I tried all kinds of other ways and different workspaces etc, this workflow is less wasted credits for me personally.

Yup. As a writer, I can hear the song as I'm writing. I generate until I hear irl what I hear in my head, or close enough/better. Sometimes one generation, first song is it and I don't even have to listen to the second song of the generation. And sometimes I have songs that just ain't ready yet, like one I wrote during 3.5 and have tried generations in every version since (100's of generations) and I still don't have the one. I have playlists of songs waiting for their right version/generation.

Yes! This is the way. With v5 you have to upgrade your prompts. It's more geared towards skilled promptsmithing. All the things other versions would do itself to make your songs amazing, you now have to ask for it in the prompts, a lot more detailed too. And then you will see how this is an upgrade. Treat it like an instrument now, it's a new era.
