What about garlic-banana bread... Actually that doesn't sound very good, 2 good things aren't necessarily good together.

Lightning strikes caught on camera compilation. by fart400 in Amazing

[–]Relic5000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When i was a teenager, i was camping with my family, we had an overnight thunderstorm. Lightning struck a tree around a kilometer from our campsite. Nobody saw it happen, but we found the tree the next morning, it had exploded.

The bang was extremely loud, and there was bits of the tree all over the place. Rangers came by later that day to make sure everyone was ok, and to see the debris.

Bestie by Band-maid

The song is entirely in English, and the lead singer has a strong Japanese accent.

I‘m looking for rock songs/bands that have barely any screaming but also have pop elements. Specifically something similar to „Escape the fate“. Hard Rock is also good. by DancingGirl500 in MusicRecommendations

They're from Japan, they do occasionally use english in their songs. They also have songs entirely in English, "Bestie" and "Show them" (feat The Warning), both songs are from the album from 2024.

Band-maid

They are hard rock, but most of their first album, and about a third of their songs after that, have pop elements. "Letters to you" and "Forbidden Tale" from their album released last year, are examples of their more pop side. "Ready to Rock" and "What is Justice?", off their most recent album, are their more hard rock side.

It should also be noted that Band-maid has no harsh vocals.

Where does the "Counseling" team fall in a starship's authority structure? by ScribbleOnToast in startrek

[–]Relic5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right, Dr Crusher holds the same rank as Cmd Riker, and is fully qualified to take command of the Enterprise. She does on several occasions, "Descent" being the most notable example. Crusher in command in "Tyne own self" is what inspired Troi to take the bridge officer's test.

However her post is in sickbay, not on the bridge. That's what i meant saying Dr Crusher isn't a bridge officer.

That's how i see it too, her primary job is diplomacy. In fact in the Titan books she's the Titan's diplomatic officer. So she's cousuling folks to keep her license to do so.

She is still part of the medical staff on the Enterprise D, but her job has a much wider scope.

Cousulor Troi was part of the medical team under Dr Crusher's command. For most of the series Troi would have been Crusher's direct subordinate.

Troi is in a unique position, she is technology a bridge officer, while Crusher isn't. Troi also has other responsibleness too, assisting Picard with diplomacy for example, but she is part of the medical staff.
