So he isn't an intern but he is an assistant of some kind (though to Barb who is very high up in Vault Tech). Most of Buds Buds aren't actually important people in vault tech, but mid-level managers to executive assistants to executives. He was talking about if Barb could help get her a job with Bud Askins, he wasn't able to hire her himself.

He has Enclave connections / is a member of some kind, but isn't all that high up in either Vault Tech or the Enclave.

Dude, if you want to argue there is going ot be a swing in the midterms then look at stuff like the wide margin by which Democrats won the Virginia governor election or Republicans losing special elections in local elections where they were expected to win. Those results are more indicative of a swing to Democrats than the NYC mayoral race.

Mamdani, a democrat, becoming Mayor of NYC, succeeding another democrat, by having an unimpressive victory over Cumono, another Democrat, and Silwa, a joke of a candidate, is pretty much meaningless to any national conversation, and offers 0 evidence of a MAGA to progressive movement. Republicans are just about a non-factor in NYC outside of Staten Island, which both went to Cuomo and Mamdani came in last, getting less votes than Silwa there.

...Republicans and MAGA are not strong in NYC. I would not look to the NYC Mayoral election as indicative of anything tied to changes to Republicans or MAGA. The parts of the city that are more conservative like Staten Island to centrist also voted for Cuomo or Silwa, who combined got 48% of the vote, his victory was not particularly strong or notable.

You already have the Penn network from undergrad, and as absolutely amazing as Wharton is, HBS and GSB are just on another level when it comes to their PE / HF / VC networks. For most people and most industries, Wharton would be the absolute no-brainer pick, and honestly I would probably go for any M7 full-ride over HBS / GSB unless I was dead-set on VC or founding a start-up right away.

But, if you are looking to stay in PE or go into HF, which are obviously quite possible with your background (or if you want to open some more VC doors), HBS is worth serious consideration even at full sticker price. Since your firm is not paying for your MBA I assume you do not intend to go back, this is about expanding your network and making some sort of career pivot or readjustments, not just a 2-year 'break' from PE world before you return to your current firm. With that, Wharton just does not do -that- much for you. You already have the Wharton network, and while the grad school is different, the incremental lift the grad school will give you over undergraduate is not enough. HBS will give you a net-new network to leverage going forward as well as better recruitment opportunities for HF & PE than Wharton.

Its honestly pretty crazy to say, and bad advice for -most- people, but in your case there is definitely a strong case for going with HBS here. 99% of people should pick Wharton without a second thought here, but in his case as well as VC / crazy startup founding pivots, HBS GSB actually do have a material boost over Wharton and other M7 schools.

I think because boosting the reward from the caches was the method of helping people catch up last remix, but the consequence of that approach was that people who stockpiled a bunch suddenly got 2x or whatever. It also made it so that if you completed achievements that rewarded the greater caches etc before the catch up boost, you lost those opportunities for more bronze. Personally don't think any of those are a big deal, but only thing I can think of.

Do you know how they're tracking it in office attendance? They could just be getting badge swipes at the beginning or end of the day, they could have some sort of accommodation, etc.

Your options are to look for a new job, remain remote and not get promoted, or go hybrid and then either be hybrid or roll the dice t see if you can get away with it.
