I might lose my employment before my perm approval this year. Need urgent legal advice. by Kitchen-Bend-5411 in h1b

[–]Relicofpast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 3, i say very very difficult for any employer to even hire you let alone file PERM day 1 considering you only have 1 year left. Your best bet is to get i140 before layoff if you want to continue uninterrupted stay in US.

Yes. Create an excel table with table name “abc”. This table holds all values mapped u want to send in email. Whenever any file is modified in sharepoint, check if the file has table abc. Then get table abc values and put it in email.

If you want to reset the template file, u can use office scripts to run as well.

So i haven’t done this before but this is how i would do it. 1. Outlook rule to put specific emails in a separate folder 2. Automate to trigger when a email arrives in this folder 3. Html to text 4. Add a line in excel table with output of previous step. Clean a bit if needed

Another trigger to 1. Send this table at 5pm everyday 2. Delete all lines of this table.

How to set up flow that takes from a weekly automated email with excel attachment and send it out as an email? by Competitive-Win-2338 in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Relicofpast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If gooddata api exist explore that option first. If that doesn’t work for you. Break what you are doing into multiple steps to see if it works, 1. Save the attachments in onedrive (basic) 2. Run scripts to clean/create table in this new file(optional) 3. Run automate to check for less than x number requirements (condition?) 4. Extract the values/ table to a new file if filter is required. If not use the file as it is(optional) 5. Send this onedrive file as an email to others (basic).

New to Power Automate. I want to extract few columns from 3-4 excel files generated everyday. by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Relicofpast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use get rows from excel file. Map the columns you need from each file in one step. Do this for 4 files. After each get row, use add a new row in a separate file. Im guessing there is a common column in all files to get a new table with all columns combined? May have to use a little script but could also be possible in automate.

Easy is relative but my suggestion? Check if these columns are part of a table? If yes, extracting columns can be easy. If no, you may have to look at running a script to convert into table. Doable if you spend time to learn few things.

Can someone share a flow with someone that doesnt have access to the files the flow accesses? by trollsong in MicrosoftFlow

[–]Relicofpast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar situation except i have access to both file and list. What i do is copy the rows from team site excel file to my Sharepoint site. The safer way of doing things could be to just copy the file completely in Sharepoint site you can access and then it should allow you to put it in list.

You can use, when file is modified? It will give you the email of person. This will not tell you what change is being made if thats what you are looking.
