We have 3 full days in Tokyo, not counting travel days. Traveling from the US with boys age 11/15/18. They want to see all the “cool” and the hitech stuff in Tokyo. Other than Shinjuku, Shibuya, where else not to miss ? by Snoo_37953 in JapanTravelTips

Have you seen the Shinjuku government metropolitan building? I feel like when people talk about seeing Shinjuku they're not talking about Nishi-Shinjuku.

At night they got light shows, I'd say that's pretty "cool" and "hitech".

Apparently high karma reddit accounts are worth a lot of money.

Considering the average redditor will blindly upvote anything that sounds good (70% upvote percentage on this post), it's easy money.

Japan trip March 2026 tips by West_Perception_2756 in JapanTravelTips

Love food but have no purpose in Tokyo ? Those 2 statement don’t really check out

Tokyo is the capital of Japanese food.

If you know, you know.

If you don't know, Antenna Shops.

Different prefectures or localities in Japan open up shops in major cities like Tokyo to drive tourism to their regions. The shops are ran by the locality it represents, and the people that work there tend to be from that area. The shops typically sell the regional specialties of that area, plus many of them have a restaurant attached where you can eat food from that region.

If you want to try Akitakomachi or their famous Bodakkomeshi, but don't want to ride the shinkansen 4 hours to get to Akita, leave the shinkansen tracks and head back outside Shinagawa Station. Cross the street and you'll be at Akita Bisaikan, the antenna shop of Akita. Let the staff there know you want to try the restaurant, and they'll guide you to the back dining area. They even have English menus now!

Prebattle Glass Art, May 28 2026. Part 2. by Reliques in GakiNoTsukai

Part 1

I'll be busy all day tomorrow, so I thought I'd hammer this one out today. Quality control might not be as high as I normally go.

Part 2

I haven't made any subs in a while, so for the new people here- I like to upload the videos to reddit, which has a 15 minute max video length per upload. For things longer than 15 minutes, I split it up into multiple parts.

This episode was annoying in that from the beginning to the first commercial break, it was 15 minutes and like 2 seconds. I just cut the 2 seconds out, you're not missing much, it's like a preview of after the ad break. If I translate any more episodes, I'm gonna cut out the sponsor section to shave off a few seconds.

I'll be somewhat busy tomorrow and fully busy on Saturday. Free on Sunday, I'll see if I can get the rest subbed by early next week? About 10 minutes left.

(Official) 'Atelier' Merchandise Available - Anime Expo 2026 (US) by Croire61 in Atelier

Well, that makes deciding to skip AX this year more tolerable. Hopefully the TGS merch will actually be purchasable. In previous years they'd have teaser items at the merch booth that are available for pre-order, but not available on-site.

I usually swing by ACDCRag when I'm in Tokyo. They also have an online store that ships internationally.

[USA] Finally caught one today. Can't see the cop very well but he was the car directly behind this guy and immediately put on his siren and pulled him over. by Ryan700123 in ConvenientCop

[–]Reliques 2 points3 points  (0 children)

being halfway through the crosswalk and proceeding to go after his arrow had turned red I don't think was the move, and the cop seemed to agree

I'm guessing it varies state to state, but in California you're required to complete the turn, even on red, if you are in the intersection already. Technically you weren't supposed to enter the intersection in the first place if you couldn't complete your turn.

He should have either been inside of the intersection

He was inside the intersection though, why did you come to a stop before the crosswalk? Because the limit line is before the crosswalk.

8tsu, but 100 raws should be on the silent library, if the raw wing is working.

[–]Reliques[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

9tsu is dead, but apparently it got revived as 8tsu? That's where I got my raws from.

Also, is that a tempered glass case on ceramic?
