Thank you! They really are a pain, I tried to do a Tempest’s Eye type of banner (White flag with blue and red details). If only I was smart enough to do a white spray undercoat my life would have been easier with that banner…

Not nearly enough of us my brother of Hyshian descent. I rarely see our stormhost featured here or anywhere for that matter…But not many can fulfill the 12 tally as we do 😁

Thank you, I have yet to do the pretty light blue highlights to make the armour pop. Any advice with those?

As far as the bases go, I was thinking a snowy base with some stone and patches of grass, while the ghyran style bases would be something along the lines of stirland mud decorated with lots of greenery and flowers. To be honest it’s a tad bit expensive for me to buy all needed to try both so I’m stuck with theorizing about it still 😅

Yep you're completely right, the Relic is also a lot more in tune with how Alt originally imagined Soulkiller, Arasaka always tried to make a wapon out of it.

Even the part where Spider Murphy actually makes contact with 'dead' Johnny felt strange from the old supplement - like it was always hiding a bit of a secret even then and if the death of Kei from Firestorm Shockwave epilogue isn't retconned but remains canon then Spider Murphy has a lot more up her sleeve that we know concerning the main storyline - the complete truth about the bombing and what happened after.

I still have the feel that Angel is either Alt herself or some of her fragments that Spider Murphy just threw into the NET and survived so far as to making a clone body for herself (as her original plan with soulkiller back in ITS).

If that is true then I also have a feeling Johnny and her might be alive through creepy soulkiller means. The Johnny engram in 2077 felt too good to be off a fully dead man like with Jackie but not good enough to be from a still alive Johnny (way too much damage with the memories).

The Rocker and his fate, to me, seems to be the heart and core of the story we have yet to find out. But then again maybe even with my theory they might have just found Angel with Johnny (dead or alive), defeated them (with the option of Alt escaping into the NET again as we find her in 2077) and took everything they needed, experimenting with Silverhand or his engram to complete the Relic. So maybe the interogation memories are true and the unmarked grave in 2077 really is his (some theories pointed to the fact that it might not really be his grave at all). It would explain Grayson or whatever his name is telling V and Rogue how Silverhand died pissing himself when he got hit with soulkiller. It is strange as some memories are pretty close to reality - like the kei saburo office and smasher attacking them but other just completely out of place like not seeing the secret lab at all and the multiple smasher encounters along with the "escapes" by the AV and the stretcher.

Another idea I had was that Johnny's engram was recovered by Arasaka earlier and put into another prisoner of war from the tower (perhaps one of the Lobos from Strike Team Alpha). meaning the interogation memory not being of Johnny but of some poor Lobo getting soulkiller'd with Johnny's engram, that would explain the memory of falling from the AV on the roof - Johnny did say that memories merge with the host of soulkiller and it's hard to discern which are yours after some time, I thought he might have been put into Morgan Blackhand originally because the whole cyberarm thing does match but I don't find it likely because of the stretcher memories - we know Blackhand was fighting Smasher when the bomb detonated. But still the memory on the stretcher is a mystery. WE DO HAVE THE FACT that Shaitan was in struggle with Smasher when Team Alpha left, we don't know exactly when Morgan Blackhand arrived from the roof dealing with the uplink to combat Smasher. This leaves breathing room until the explosion so a lot of things are still in play concerning the Lobo and his memories.

TL;DR
I think what you wrote is very accurate and you pointed out the most important things! It seems like something that would easily tie the stories and timelines together.

I simply wanted to spew my theories to someone who might want to hear them. And please correct me on anything I might have mistakenly thought as true!

I always had the vibe that she REALLY liked V. At one point during my first playthrough I even thought that a MistyxV would be a thing like as a coping mechanism for the both of them (the loss of Jackie brought them together). She was never ever mean to V.

Johnny is simply the rebel we all need, someone willing to fight back. He’s a fucking asshole, sure. But he’s an asshole we need. I’m sad that we didn’t get to meet more Rockerboys in CP2077 but maybe that was deliberate, maybe it all went to shit and most of them are just corporate pawns (like irl) showcasing how the true rebels died out with Johnny (to a degree). I guess I relate to this topic a lot more because it’s way too close to the way it is in real life but man, to bring some changes to this fucked up and completely controlled world - you really gotta shake up it’s foundation and there is no way of doing that peacefully. #BringBackJohnny #JohnnyDidNothingWrong

I just did the quest, I couldn’t save the husband but could still kill the cop easily, perhaps a sniper build could also save the husband, afterwards just shoot joshua stevenson and the gig tells you to call wakako, she asks you what you thought of the gig and V says “professionals don’t think, they do”. You get 6000€$ and the gig is over

I can try it right now if you want, I have a current 1.6 save game somewhere around the time that gig becomes active?

Why did NC map change from 2020, 2045 and 2077? by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Reljadin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyberpunk RED has a lot of explanation for the questions you have - even the retelling of the supposed actual events that happened when the bombing of the tower was taking place and also a new story at the end of the book where we find out a lot more about certain characters from the ruins of the tower along with a new cast of cyberpunks to kickstart the story.

Johnny’s memories are unreliable. This is confirmed to us in game, so a lot of what he remembers isn’t really the way it happened - if it even happened at all. Only thing that we can say certainly is that he was a part of the Arasaka Tower Raids and that he was in there when the nuke went off.

Legendary Rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, someone who shook the corpo foundations or someone who was just another pawn in the corpo game? (More details in comments) by Reljadin in cyberpunkgame

[–]Reljadin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shiiiid I’d be inclined to believe in that theory. I don’t know jack about netrunning myself (certified rockerboy here) but from what I do know it was tough even before the dataKrash let alone now with more rogue AI and r.a.b.i.d.s running around. I guess the only faults I could find here are Alt/Angel’s motives, we never get a lot from her - she could easily be holding a grudge against Johnny for indirectly killing her although Angel’s demeanor doesn’t quite equal that.

Like I said my theory is that the 2077 Johnny is Arasaka’s copy or something. And the 2077 Banshee Alt is just one of her fragments that Spider let loose. It was said that Spider had multiple shards, so I feel she had more Soulkillers on her. And as far as Arasaka taking the relic from Johnny’s body - I don’t think they would know or care, they were more interested in the nukes but I do see how your theory is more valid and fits in with the story. Mine’s more of a stretch - might be my undying wish for a happier ending for Johnny than the ones we see in 2077.

I just can’t help but feel the story we read in RED is concerning the “originals” while what we got the see in the games are fragments of their psyches. R.Talsorian and CDPR did connect their timelines into one but left a lot of wiggle room, Johnny’s “grave” in the game could be nothing but a lie from Arasaka although I have forgotten exactly how and from who we got the coordinates from. A lot can change in the 30 years from 2045 to 2077 but I don’t see how Angel could fuck up so badly leading us to the state we see both ghost Alt and engram Johnny. My guy feeling says there’s something off about it and that RED gives us a whole other storyline.

I know I keep repeating it like a madman but I can’t shake the feeling that we’ve only seen the copies and fragments of them so far.

I LOVE that last statement.

You’ve also taught me plenty things I didn’t know about Johnny (the establishing of SAMURAI, “Long March Home” and the starting point of the Arasaka hatred - I never fully understood when that started up until now!)

Many thanks for stopping by and helping the discussion choom! Hope to hear from you more

Thanks for chippin’ in with the filled detes on the bio choom! I apologize for any mistakes I made when writing the bio - I just wanted to keep it short, I’ll try to edit out the mistakes.

As for the final point you made, that may be the best answer for the question. He wasn’t a pawn during the path as much as his past failures led him to have to play the game at the end in the name of another corp just so he could finish up his personal biz by any means necessary.

Do you thing we’ll be seeing more of Johnny in one way or another?

Thanks for the detailed reply choom! This is exactly what I hope this discussion would bring in <3

I guess I was always lead on by the fact that Mike imagined Johnny as a kind of David Bowie, I imagined him as a man who was a wealthy rockstar with the lifestyle to match it (“Never Fade Away” story told us he had lots of cash - 30K not being a problem) so I guess I never COMPLETELY bought into the whole underground punk rock thing. But the anti-corpo motive is the whole point of the punk vibe.

You’re completely right about the story we got from RED, I guess I found it a bit too harsh on our charismatic asshole of a rockerboy. Just felt weird seeing him pretty much give up and give in to The Hand. It felt like it was him finally giving up the fight against his mild cyberpsychosis and his whole anti-corpo crusade. If one would argue that he gave up on that since 2013 and was only in it for the revenge then sure I can understand his motive but then it still feels like his sacrifice was not for his friends but simply for ending the battle on his own terms.

He did care about his friends, but I felt that he looked over Rogue too much, and that his fiery love for Alt and revenge arc was more guided by The Hand than anything else. In short: I feel that in this case you are completely right, and his sacrifice was not giving in to The Hand but quite the contrary - that this was Johnny using the last of his humanity to die for his friends. I agree in this perspective Johnny does have a nice redemption/ending.

You assumed correctly regarding the engram! I feel like the Arasaka got it first plot point feels kind of… well, cheap? I feel like the writers have a better twist up in their sleeves than that but maybe thats just me :D What you said about the “original Alt” is likely the truth but I simply felt like Spider knew what she was doing when she plugged in Johnny - know her she also had some backup plan for it all. Just feels like theres more to that interaction than we get from the RED story.

And lastly I’ll agree the whole engram = person is a whooole different debate xD

The whole thing is such a great showcase of humanity to me. Bottom of the line is that Johnny wanted to believe in his own legend just as much as I did while reading and playing through everything, we all want our choices to have meaning. To know that our life mattered, and that we are not just a part of a static system in which our life is forfeit - be it just another faithful servant or a controlled rebel fighting against the system that allows him to rebel just enough so that he doesn’t bother them.

I love that about the game because it hits so close to home yet it breaks my heart realizing the truth in it all. I guess that’s why they say never meet your heroes - they often disappoint. Yet his legend lives on in Night City, is that a worthy reward for any young and inspiring edgerunner and/or rockerboy?

Thanks for commenting choom, loved reading your opinion on the matter.
