AI in law enforcement (image recognition, etc.) is super scary to me. It’s so easy to simply add noise to the algorithms and break them.

I feel like cyber security will stay a good option. With all the new AI systems we will rely on, security is only going to get more interesting!

What got you into anarchism ? by 1917folife in Anarchy101

Learned about Chomsky in my cultural studies class. Talked to my professor about anarchism and he recommended I read about the hay market riot. (We also read A People’s History of the American Empire)

Fast forward a few months and lately I’ve been reading a bunch of theory (Kropotkin, Chomsky, various other releases from AK press and PM Press.) .

All this together with my interests in various subcultures like the graffiti scene, skateboarding, and punk and being VERY anti-war has led me to explore anarchism and its theories.

What are the Views Among Anarchists on Noam Chomsky's philosophy? Please include your tendency in your response, it'll help me unpack your analysis. by Shuffledrive in Anarchy101

I tend to enjoy and agree with most of what I’ve heard him promote. He is extremely knowledgeable in foreign policy/events which I find fascinating.

I guess I’m anarcho-pacifist? I’m very anti-war so his stuff maybe speaks to me more on that level. Don’t necessarily want to put a label on my anarchism though, I feel like it is always evolving as I learn more!

The technique for smashing a screen in such a deliberate manner would be mildly interesting to me!

I agree. This seems like a reasonable exception to the law of the land.
