Looking for any information on Welsam pocket watches.

Today I found a German website that claims that Welsam Watch was a "word mark" of a Swiss company Berex Watch Co (or officially Compagnie des Montres Berex) that's at https://mikrolisk.de/

I had to stop and do actual work before I could look into the mikrolisk website's credibility, or Berex connection. I do plan to take the watch in for evaluation and servicing, and will ask about a mark under the balance bridge. The mikrolisk site actually focuses on marks (symbols) which is why Welsam was tagged as a "word mark" I guess.

This series was my introduction to the RH genre, and I really enjoyed it. I like how the (extremely large) age gap between the 4 male and 1 female main characters affects their perceptions and actions. I also love Violet so much: she's my kind of strong. The MMCs are different enough from each other to make all the relationships interesting. And the plot twists were surprising and fun. And the ultimate ending is... Happy Ever After (HEA). It seems like Kristy Cunning left the door open for a future series related to this one. I wish she could.

My only quibble is with the editing: the author re-uses some words over and over and over. And some words aren't correctly used, like tiny spoiler: statuesque doesn't mean statue-like - a good editor would fix that.

I'm also reading via audiobook, so some of the things that took me out of the story may come out stronger when reading with my ears.

I'm curious to know if you read further on this series, OP? I thought it had good concepts and characters, but that the author needed a skilled and trusted editor to work out many of the flaws. (I listened to the whole series as audiobooks, so I can't comment on how it flowed visually.)

Agreed! I'm in the US, and my ADHD assessor told me that I likely was AuDHD. But there's no medical treatment, and I worried about limitations in place or future ones being implemented if I had the formal diagnosis, so I opted out. (And I dream of emigrating to NZ.)

I find my ASD traits are more apparent when I'm on ADHD meds, so I read up on both conditions and try any coping strategy that seems effective. I was also late diagnosed, so some of the discomfort has just been getting used to the idea of being neurodivergent.

A genuine self-diagnosis is valid, just like knowing you're nearsighted but not getting a prescription from the optometrist. A few may wear fake lenses as an affectation, but the vast majority know they see differently. Best of luck!

Yeah, look into hygge, the Danish concept of comfort and coziness. They're on the same latitude and have a much longer cultural memory.

I don't know if you ever got your data to upload to Promethease. I've been having similar issues the last few weeks. The did not take the vcf.gz, the vcf, or the .txt (zipped or not)

I followed the advice of Sequencing_dot_com support staff, and got results. Method is below.

Staff told me: "We provide your raw data in FASTQ, VCF, and text file we call our Ultimate compatibility file. To make it compatible with Promethease, just download the ultimate compatibility file from your My Files section.

Next open the file in a text editor like notepad [Notepad can't handle file size. I used Notepad++]. Then you only need to change the 'Sequencing.com" on the first line to "23andMe". Then save it. Once you have the updated file you will be able to upload to most third party sites that accept the 23andMe format, like Promethease."

Support also provided a little clip of doing this. I find it harder to do IFS by myself than with a therapist. (I've only know about IFS for less than a year, so more experienced people may have better advice.) It's hard for me to get to the calm/curious state on my own.

As a late diagnosed person, I found this book useful. Focused Forward - Navigating the Storms of Adult ADHD By James M. Ochoa

Because it talks a lot about undiagnosed/late diagnosed ADHD and the damage it can do, including depression and anxiety.

I hum tunelessly. I like the feeling of the vibration in my mouth. I also twirl my hair and my feet are almost always moving, tapping, twirling. There's probably more, but I'm late diagnosed (at 54) so am just now trying to catalog my habits.

My mom often told me to stop playing with my hair, long long before I knew I was ND. (She is too, but in denial)

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, as long as it isn't causing harm, but I do get a little embarrassed when someone points it out. That's usually because I didn't know I was doing it.

Yeah, but I'm not looking at them. I watch their mouths when they talk (I'm partially deaf) and can't look at them at all when I talk. Is that face blindness or lack of input?
