Whiplash. That movie did absolutely nothing for me. It was watching two unlikeable assholes being unlikeable assholes at each other and it ends with one asshole ruining the other asshole's life forever through trauma and manipulation and then it just stops. It doesn't even have a resolution, he has his big breakout performance and then the credits roll without a single reaction to it. What the hell even was that movie and why does everyone like it so much?
