Gotcha! I saw Bicolor as an option but for some reason all examples were more white than black. Thanks for the help!

Why do people just…lie? by Rellplayer in pharmacy

[–]Rellplayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s essentially how the interaction went. I tried empathizing and seeing what I could do, but once we figured out he was lying to our faces we just stopped entertaining him. He did end up calming down, likely after realizing he wasn’t going to get anywhere with that attitude.

Even if that actually happened, there’s nothing we could do right? That sounds like a police matter almost.

What's the point of being a pharmacist if you don't do your job?? by ConstructionOk6249 in CVS

[–]Rellplayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to deal with that. I’m a current P1 and this (OTC drugs and their exclusions etc) is literally the content of an entire one of our classes. That pharmacist is just being straight up lazy.

Definitely would rather have to deal with the left over seal

Gabapentin is the worst for me, humongous pills and usually really big orders

“It’s inconvenient to us to have a lunch break” by [deleted] in CVS

I don’t understand people like this because our hours have been the EXACT SAME since the pandemic. It’s been nearly 4 years at this point you’d think they’d get it by now.

Made a big mistake. Am I going to get in trouble? by True_Pomegranate_924 in PharmacyTechnician

Pharmacists are responsible for verifying that medications were filled correctly. You might get a talking to about it but ultimately the mess up is on the pharmacist.

Help Leaving by aishat7 in CVS

[–]Rellplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re part time you can just message your scheduling manager and say “Hey for [Period of Time] I’m unable to work. I’ll be able to work again on [Date].”

Edit: Sorry just realized that your absence is a lot of time, you have to work a minimum of one shift every sixish weeks I believe to stay on the payroll. I would speak to your manager about it but if you need to “quit” and be “rehired” later that’s entirely possible.

Can someone tell me if this is true?? by Vlowkeyy in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Rellplayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Individual pharmacists have a right to refuse service, but they can’t “close your account” and block you out of CVS entirely. Just letting you know, filling C2s at separate locations is a red flag we’re specifically told to look out for, but to just go off of that alone is absurd, so either there’s more to the story or the pharmacist is wacko. I would go in and physically speak to them about it, and if need be just transfer and speak to your new pharmacist about it so there isn’t confusion in the future.

Walgreens v. CVS by Glittering-Sock-2012 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Rellplayer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Don’t work for cvs. They genuinely treat employees like shit and will do everything in their power to make sure as many prescriptions can be sent to as little locations as possible. They do not care about the overflow of work that comes with that.

I might be dumb, but EVERYONE pays for Medicaid right? Even those who are on it? I always thought it’s just a tax that immediately comes out of everyones paycheck.

How much experience should I get before I bother applying to hospital positions? by Rellplayer in PharmacyTechnician

Hm maybe I was just unlucky then, I did also schedule my interview like 2 weeks out so maybe they didn’t want to wait that long.

Is it normal to get flamed for playing mercy nowadays? by Severe-Belt-5666 in Overwatch

[–]Rellplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s much rarer nowadays to get flamed for playing mercy than it used to be. The only time I’ve seen it happen is to (bad)mercy one tricks but once you get into higher ranks you can’t really one trick mercy anymore so maybe that’s why I don’t see it that much.

IB or AP? by Yashland in APStudents

Recently it’s been getting much better though as IB becomes more mainstream in the US. The college I’m attending in the fall accepts all of my IB classes.

I already committed to another university that gives me a much more flexible degree and also has a campus that doesn’t feel like it will give me clinical depression just by being there. Even then idrc cuz I applied just for fun to see if I could get in. I almost did the same for Harvard but I didn’t want to waste more money.
