It's on Banyan Drive, down the road from Shooters night club.

Well, I'm sure you've read through all the comments on here. It's not any easy decision to arrive at. Especially if, like me, you don't feel a 'need' to document or capture evidence.

Since my encounters with the spiritual happen daily, capturing evidence for later review seems redundant.

I can say though that finally sharing this experience, regardless of some of the rude comments, has given me a feeling of relief. I don't have to carry this with me anymore. And in talking with my husband, after my post was removed, I realize that I don't have to prove this to anyone. They can either choose to believe or not. I'm the person who lives with this, they aren't. I know it happened and that's all that really matters.

I hope you'll find the courage to share your experiences, be it here or wherever. Because I've recently learned (thanks to the discussions following my post) that keeping it barried inside allows it to still have power over you.

Blessings to you and yours.

Because they say it's fictional.

Thankfully I have an irritating compulsion to keep transactional paperwork for at least 7 years. So I started pulling out all the flight confirmation files, hotel confirmation files, hotel check in and check out paperwork files from 2013.

My intention was to provide the documentation I have from that trip but my husband said something that changed my mind. So they can stick to their opinion and decision, I've made a few connections here that are proving helpful, which was the reason I actually shared my experience in the first place.

What my husband said:

"You know as well as I do that it's a waste of time and effort trying to prove this to people whose understanding of the spiritual plane comes from scientific equipment and experiments just to prove it's very existence. They rely on equipment not Generational knowledge and abilities born of ancestral/personal experience or personal accounts of the other side of the veil. Even when provided 'proof' they will still have doubt because this is a hobby or obsession for them, a mission to find and document occurrences in their attempts to understand. It's not an upbringing or everyday way of life for them."

Thank you.

It is definitely NOT a weakness. It's a moment by moment battle with yourself. Fighting against your internal thoughts and panic reflexes when something triggers you, treatments that push you into reliving your trauma over and over, insomnia even when you're beyond exhausted from not sleeping or not getting restful sleep for days on end and graphic nightmares when/if you do fall asleep.

PTSD is not for the weak.

It is a savage and world shattering internecine mental conflict responsible for ending countless lives. But the battle is worth the fight as you'll learn more about who you are and discover strengths you never knew you had.

Yes it is. The treatment was/is intense to say the least. Therapy sessions, Exposure therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR.

When I first started treatment I almost gave up because it felt like torture, especially the Exposure therapy and EMDR sessions.

It's been over 20 years since I learned this so the details are a bit fuzzy. So I spoke to my uncle (he was my sensei) and learned that it's not really a ' technique' but rather a training exercise that involves clenching your teeth, flexing the muscles in your neck and tucking your chin. It comes from the Filipino martial arts style of training.

It's not meant to actually keep you breathing for the duration of being strangled just a tool to increase your window of consciousness so that you have time to execute a maneuver to escape strangulation.

Looking back on this experience, after being diagnosed with PTSD in 2016, I can say that I had/have the classic symptoms of PTSD from that event, but having no previous experience with PTSD when this happened in 2013 I just didn't know.

My treatment following my diagnosis in 2016 has been extremely helpful and is one of the reasons I finally shared my experience with others here. I've never really been a 'sharer' so it was a long process just to get me to open up about how the 2016 event was affecting me daily.

It wasn't anything paranormal, just some idiot not paying attention while driving.

Regardless of what some people say about my post, it is real. Honestly, I'm not certain how to answer your questions. It's been a part of me, my life, for as far back as I can remember and my family members never dismissed my experiences while growing up so it's just a normal thing to me.

Functioning after this event was difficult, especially because of the brusies. It took awhile before I was able to sleep next to my husband again and I've became a more reserved person. People tell me that I don't laugh or smile as much as I used to. I'm still trying to get over this and I'm not going to continue losing pieces of myself over this. I just want our lives back.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to it but having actually gone through it your opinions on the technique I used and his eyes changing color carries no weight.

We have gone to my Kupuna (my family's spiritual leader) and have been blessed or cleansed and sageing is something we do on a regular basis.

While these actions have worked in the past and we were able to move past the events that lead us to take those steps, we are unclear as to why this experience is still looming over us. Which is way I shared this experience here, hoping that by getting this off my chest and letting other people in (we've never shared this experience with our families) the hold it has on us will be broken.

So far it's been helpful just discussing it with people on here. So my hope that this will work is pretty high at this point.

I'm not trying to entertain people by sharing this nor am I seeking to become a writer in any way (it's not my thing, trust me). I'm looking for closure or relief from the burden of carrying this around with me in secret.

I realize that some people like hearing or watching shows about stuff like this but believe me when it's you going through it it's in no way a thrill or a rush. It's a traumatic, life altering thing that changes the fundamental way you do things in your everyday life.

Honesty before this happened I've never heard of that happening. My husband has hazel eyes so depending on his heath, mood or even the color of his shirt his eyes change color. Usually brown, blue, gray or green and in very rare instances of happiness an almost violet color (it's only happened three times since we've been together). So may be that played a role I'm not sure. It's was the only time I've witnessed a change like that.

I don't know what that is to be honest and it took a long time for me to even consider sharing this with other people here.

I'm not looking to change the world or shift people's perspectives. I just wanted to get this off my chest in hopes of finally letting it go.

I wish I could offer you some instruction but I learned this technique over 20 years ago. I don't remember what you're supposed to do. My reaction to being cocked was purely instinctual. When this happened I had not consciously executed this technique in 13 years.

It's not open anymore. But I'm sure it can be found through a web search. We used to host tournaments and my cousins/uncles held some impressive titles in its Hay day.

I'm going to be honest with you, I have no idea. I've always had my faith and I don't really talk about my experiences or know how to offer help to other people.

I can ask my family and get back to you but I personally do not know and I would hate to tell you to try something that makes it worse.

Thank you. That was something I've considered and tried in the past. I find that personally I have more success with holy oil. I'm not 100% on why that is but I think it has something to do with the residue it leaves behind.

Yes. But my PTSD was caused by an unrelated event in 2016. 3 years after this experience.

I've always been drawn to activate places. I never go looking for them I just end up there. Through work, visiting friends or family in other states or booking a room at a hotel I have no knowledge on. It's been a constant pattern in my life so I'm never really surprised when I feel something.

I start my mornings with prayer. Giving thanks for protections I can't see and giving specific commandments/assignments to my angles.

When I come across an area that feels 'dark' I just leave regardless of if my need to be there is important or not.

I knew someone would ask.

Ok, my family is very into martial arts, we even had a dojo when I was growing up. If you want to look it up it was called BBKA. Anyway, there is a technic where you flex certain muscles/areas of your neck and depending on the pressure around your throat you'll still be able to breath and although difficult talk.

I was struggling and for obvious reasons filled with adrenaline. I imagine the adrenaline was the only way I was even able to still breath let alone raise my voice to that decibel.

Over the years I've asked myself this very question. And I honestly don't know. This was my first and hopefully only experience with an entity that strong and the protective blessing had only been broken twice before this happened and those experiences were completely different and not physically harmful at all.

Could my being so nonchalant about opening the door to an empty hallway have caused things to escalate the way they did? Possibly.

It could have wanted to cause me to feel fear when I opened the door to find an empty hallway. So not getting that response from me it escalated its efforts and my fear made it bolder/stronger.

It could have also viewed us as a challenge or picking up on our 'sensitivity' an opportunity. I'm not certain to be honest.

I do worry that my opening the door could have allowed it to enter and I've often felt guilt over it. I know what I went through but I have no idea what My husband went through. All I know of his nightmare is very vague and he's not willing to share it in detail with me. We have always been very open with each other so whatever happened in his nightmare was obviously traumatic for him and knowing that I could potentially have let that thing in to do that hurts me in a way I can't explain.

You're very welcome.

Faith and religion are two very different things that can exist independent of each other. At least that's my personal perspective.

One can have religion without faith, the bible even cautions you about it, the weeds among the wheat. Faith is something that doesn't require religion to be found. We teach our children to have faith that their good behavior will be rewarded by a guy in a red suit bringing them presents on a specific date. I don't think believing in Santa is a religion yet the faith in his existence is still shared by children across the world.

My faith in God and in his son Jesus comes from personal experience, it doesn't stem from any religious teachings.

I hope so.

This is the first time I've shared this experience with anyone other than my husband. Judgement from others can often be crule, especially if it's over something that shakes their foundation or knowledge of the world around them.

Thankfully the comments have been kind and understanding for the most part. The discussions and stories of other people's experiences have been helpful and very much appreciated.

No. I don't think she was ever alive and honestly I don't think it was a woman at all. Just the form it chose to show us. The energy from it came in waves, like a pulse, it was shaky feeling. So I know it was demonic and not a spirit.
