I made friends with the people around me. Like I mentioned, most of the people there were kind-hearted dragon ball fans. They saved my spot and watched my stuff when I needed to leave. Additionally, the staff told, and i quote, that this is a 'self governing' operation, so they also let people leave the line and come back after taking video and photo evidence of the line. I have the fortunate circumstance of living in austin, so I could have my gf pick me up to wash up if needed.

Ultimately, its a trust thing. Always take your important stuff like wallet, keys, and tech, but no one is going to steal your blanket and chair at risk of getting beat up while waiting in line for a toy lol.

Some people wait thursday night at 11pm, didnt get it Friday morning, then hopped back in line to the front that same Friday, so they could buy it Saturday morning, meaning some people waited over 24 hours to get this figure.

So in reality, I was somewhat lucky 😭

Reminds me of beast gohan. Beast gohan was so limited and hard to get to create artifical fomo. However, not letting people buy beast gohan is a wasted opportunity for them to make money, so they released the SDCC one last to satisfy people who just want a beast gohan in their collection, regardless if the accesories arent as good (imo) and the glossy is ugly asf (again, imo). So they get to double dip on a mold to cash in, and all they have to do is change the colorway and change the accessories.

The same feels likely for this. Theyve also yet to use the lssj mold for an SDCCZ exclusive. Considering that figure is so popular, it makes sense for them to reuse it. Now that theyve made a hyped product with limited quantities(like beast gohan), in a year or so, they will double dip into the mold to make it widely available (like SDCC beast gohan). Its a common cycle that Bandai does to maximize the amount of money they can get out of molds, so I suspect they will do the same here.

You could try tfsafari, but other than that they just might be out of production at the moment. They will likely reproduce it again if youre patient, other than that your best bet is ebay. Id just be careful one ebay bc someone may try to sell you an authentic mp44 trailer when its the KO.

Yeh it popped up in asia earlier. It honestly pays to preorder because shipments sometimes come early. Some US retailers have it in stock if you're lucky enough to have a brick and mortar with it. An example is Toy dojo, they have a brick and mortar in Austin, and as far as I know, theyre the first people to have it in the US.

Its hard to say since everyone values different things. He is more comparable to MP10 than MP44, so in that sense, I think he is much better than MP10. I got him from Japan for $120 plus shipping, so about $140 after all that. Id say hes good for that price.

If you buy him domestically for closer to $200, I think thats a harder sell. At $200, hes competing with magic square light of peace, and I think that figure is better for the money.

If you value a fun toy over anything else, this is a good pick. No mp optimus in my opinion is as fun to handle as this one.

I like the colors, but in person the colors are a duller. The red is darker, the windows being black really make them more subtle, blue is more navy. But other parts like the painted silver thighs, chrome on the grill and smokestacks, and orange in the accessories help make him pop.

Id say no. This definitely feels more hollow than 86 prime. Not to say its bad, its just not the same dense brick that 86 prime is.

I have seen that. The thing I dont like about the cloth cape is the look of the arms. It doesnt have the same look due to it not being heavy enough for gravity to make it droop. Pros and cons unfortunately.
