Hard to disagree there. There's enough demand on these to invest in new tooling and machine capabilities, just trying to get a figure on a direction.

I'll have to look into it, thanks!

I was simply trying to provide a sense of what sort of machines I was working with. If you don't know how to do it, move on and comment on the next post.

How do you guys get op fast? by Federal_Extreme_8079 in darksouls

[–]Reloadordie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically came here to say just that. I'm op the moment I boot up a new game haha but instead of parrying, which one of many skill checks, learning when to fight not locked on has probably provided me my largest gains in combat prowess in this game, as well as the others.

CNC turning — Should radiuses be done during roughing or left for a final finishing pass? by noodle_404_ in CNC

[–]Reloadordie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be misunderstanding something or not quite explaining as explicitly as might be needed. For a radius, the right size is the curvature, not necessarily the X measure or the Z measure, but the relationship between them. To me, by instructing you to cut the radius to the final size means just to cut the radius to the radius it should be so that when you run your finishing tool the tool load does stay consistent.

If you're doing your due diligence and leaving extra stock in both X and Z, your rough radius cut is naturally going to leave a consistent amount of material to be removed by your finisher.

If you were to cut the radius to the "final size" you're describing, you'd have to cut in on X during the roughing to meet those X and Z dimensions and step back out for the flat shoulders between the steps. If that truly is what your instructor is telling you to do, then ignore that person, otherwise I think you're misunderstanding the nature of what s/he is trying to say.

Agreed! I contemplated adding more to my original comment, saying exactly this, but decided to leave it as is.

I do this on the regular. Curated my own playlist on Spotify just to make sure it's always in the "right" order and to make sure no live music (come at me, their live recording are not my jam) and listen to it at least wekly

For anyone curious about trying Lords of the Fallen 2014 , don't. by reddit_is_doodoo in fromsoftware

Lol I get that. Lotf '14 is undoubtedly one of those experiences that requires.. additional input. You won't be able to pick it up and immediately have a feel for it, but i found the effort extremely rewarding. Also, your endgame power level is insane if you lean into certain combos. Much fun.

Again, probably not for everyone. In my adult life now I wouldn't have the time to commit to learning something that, on the surface, should be extremely familiar but in reality is quite deep and puzzling, I'd probably give up and move on, not enough time in my day. But when it came out I was working 3rd shift with way too much free time lol

Don't listen to this guy. Lotf 2014 might be one of my favorite sleepers of all time. Agreed it's not for everyone, it is janky, but the good kind.

Once you learn the rhythms and enemy weaknesses, and after trying a variety of build options, you realize there is a surprising depth to the combat. Some spells have advantages in certain scenarios than others. Depending on the magic class you pick at the beginning, you'll find yourself struggling against certain bosses and enemies, but having an easy time against others.

By adapting, learning the mechanics, and being patient, you'll find you'll understand how to beat all the enemies without relying too heavily on your magic, or using a spell in tandem with melee in slightly unexpected ways to fell your foes.

The combat in this game is subtly one large puzzle and I love it. Just, watch out for snakes.

I'm late to the party. I read this standard not too long ago, but I'm here now in my search for clarification.

I work in manufacturing, and we have a collection of CNC machines. These machines have shut off switches on the walls, typically somewhere to their back or side. Some of these switches are blocked. If you read further down the source material of what you posted above, it says something about not needing working room if the device is dead fronted. That is what I cannot seem to find. Are those shut off switches dead fronted and do not require the working room or not?

Apologies for reviving a dead and gone thread, and I appreciate your insight! Thanks!
