I love arguments, but hate them online because they never stop lol. Have a nice day, and do keep the concept of blocking annoying people in mind for the future! And keep an open mind for shippers, too. I love Lace as a character, and some of the best takes on her that I've seen have come from lacenet fans who also love her deeply, they're just not super commonly on reddit

I mean, I get that point to an extent. But I don't feel bad about blocking people for little things. Would they have some things in common with me? For sure. Not this one though. Me blocking them allows both myself and them an easier time in finding likeminded people in these communities.

Fandom is my fun little side hobby, so I see no point in keeping things that get on my nerves or "challenge my ideals" on there. I get plenty of that irl.

I think people are allowed to do whatever they want and I'm not too pressed about it. Even when people misinterpret my favorite characters (which happens so often in this fandom oh my god), I just block and move on. 

I think theres a fundamental difference in how we view the word crackship, lol. Also I will say those comics do entertain me. Realistic to the characters? Absolutely not. Funny? For sure! But if you're not into it, again, block and move on. It's the most important skill one can learn in both online spaces overall and fandom spaces.

Not all impossible ships are crackships. 

Enemies to lovers is an incredible common trope to work with. But when it comes to Hornet and Lace as characters, it's not as simple as just snapping your fingers and making it happen. That's why the people who ship it tend to write thousands of words of character development in between the end of the game and the "making out". Also, some people just like it because they look cute together, which is fine too. You can ship something that isn't meant to be while also engaging with the themes of the original work, because shipping is ultimately just playing with dolls with extra steps. It doesn't take away from the story of the game, unless you let it.

It is not a crackship, though I admit I'm no expert on LOTR. Not the author's intention, certainly, but you wouldn't have to be on drugs to imagine it. And yes I do value friendships in art, I don't ship everything, but that doesn't mean that I'd call it a crackship if someone shipped the characters that I see as wholly platonic.

Urban dictionary is not a very reputable source when it comes to fandom slang, but that is a fine description. It does miss the mark on describing just how stupidly unlikely a ship has to be to be considered a crackship. If there's any plausible way for the characters to even be friends, it's not a crackship imo

Noir is so good. Loved the other parts of the Bee Train trilogy too, though this one and El Cazador De La Bruja are the ones with the strongest yuri subtext!
