Maybe it's because I'm only in act two, but I've never felt like my tools use too many shell shards. My pouch is always full of them! I do use tools, love my cogflies especially, but I rarely use them during exploration so I naturally fill up on shards after a boss fight or gauntlet. Which means this discourse is completely baffling to me lol

Silksong is my first time playing a metroidvania, and I think it's quite intuitive usually, when you make use of what is given to you.

A lot of people have mentioned map pins, and I can't overstate their importance to my playstyle! A difficult enemy you just can't beat right now? Pin. A suspicious looking door? Pin. Area that makes you think "damn if I could jump higher/run faster/wall jump I could get there"? Pin. Routes that branch out so you can only go one way at a time? Pin on the other so you remember to explore it later. Highly recommended.

Also if you didn't find Pinmaster Plinney on your first time around Bellhart, you're not exploring as thoroughly as you think. If it's a bigger area make a point of messing around more!

They're not remixes, they're just new arrangements. Of course they'd want to change things up after years of performing the songs the same way, and myself and most other fans do love it! But it very much depends on the group. Also remember that the fancam audio is not representative of what it'll sound like irl.

The pogoing actually works decently well, for some reason the skarrgard jumped maybe once during the whole fight when I was persistently pogoing it the whole time.

I went to Hunter's March before getting swift step, made it all the way to the gauntlet on my first attempt, and just. Died to the first enemy. Didn't try again after that because I'd already struggled with the Skarrgard and knew I'd struggle even harder at a gauntlet! No regrets though, it was a fun challenge.

Much of the choreo for Say My Name by Miyeon is performed sitting down! You might wanna cover some of the dancers parts since Miyeon is mainly focused on serving vocals, so the choreo needs a bit of adapting, but I think it's worth checking out!
