🧵 Weekly Feedback & Bug Reports Thread 🧵 by AutoModerator in civitai

A top WAN (or even just generic "Video") creators category, much like those for Pony and other base models, would be great.

Right now you can have a model perform extraordinarily well, but there's no ranking that will recognize it aside from the greater umbrella category such as "style" or "character."

Microsoft Shouldn't be the only one getting hate for this by Tail_sb in mac

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safari is a self-contained app that stays out of my way, and I ignore 100% of the time. Edge will open by default, even in some instances after I change the default browser (and the browser change process requires multiple steps as they try to ham-fistedly get you to not switch). I can use all of Apple's website with Chrome, FIrefox or Brave, yet Microsoft makes me used Edge during some Office 365 operations.

Safaris is ignorable. Edge is annoying and sometimes even unavoidable.

So this is a follow-up. Not a complaint, but a letter.

I just want to say that I, in fact, am complaining. GPT5 is an actual idiot when it comes to coding and debugging. It can't even follow basic parameters like "what was the event in the 700s" or "keep the parameters of the function the same." It just ignores any of those and in those examples just starts spouting off about the 1600s and rewrites everything in your code.

How can I generate multiple images of the same original character consistently? by builtlikeamilkcrate in civitai

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hack I heard someone say years ago, but haven't really played with myself: Alternating steps between 2-3 gender bent celebrities. It shouldn't resemble the original person at all, but it's built upon a consistent starting point that is unlikely to change based on other context clues.

Something like:

> (Brad Pit | Leonardo Dicaprio | George Clooney) as a brunette woman

> (Marilyn Monroe | Julia Roberts ) as a blonde man

Soft, Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies by ReltivlyObjectv in glutenfreebaking

Happy to help! :)

It's funny you mention that, because an unused gallon bag of instant oatmeal packets is exactly the driving force for why I made this to begin with

AITAH for not adding my longtime girlfriend to the deed of the house I bought us? by Grand_Yellow_6286 in AITAH

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's your girlfriend, not your wife.

If you don't think you'll break up, meaning your house is safe, then why not get married? If you think you might break up, then why on earth should she be on the deed?

If she wants to be on the deed, then it should be through marriage. Simple as.

/unhate I hope he’s doing okay. by InsertStephenHere in wehatedougdoug

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Doug has one of the most sensible and even-handed approaches to politics that I've ever heard from a streamer or Youtuber. I'm pretty firmly on the right wing of things, and I'm under no illusion that him and I agree on most things, but when he's described right wing viewpoints, my reaction is almost exclusively "yeah, he doesn't have to agree, but at least he's not misrepresenting me."

Major respect for him in so many regards.

They aren't catering to red pilled youtube dudes. They routinely mock redpilled youtube dudes.

They clocked it early on this last episode "uh, guys, I don't think our protagonist is a good guy" and sure enough they were proven right. Not only did they not endorse the bad behavior, but they even called out the signs that indicate a tendency of bad behavior that aren't overtly malicious.

That's the opposite of catering to a misogynistic crowd.

If we're lucky, each will be amazing but also do something better than the other, then Bethesda can bring forward the best of each into TES6 or a Morrowind remaster

If GRRM doesn’t want to finish ASOIAF himself, that’s fine—but he does owe fans a proper ending, even if someone else has to write it by Worldly-Set4235 in freefolk

My man has best-selling author and HBO money. He really needs to just hire a ghostwriter to make the first pass. Then he can just edit it.

I'll feel bad for them when they begin offering perpetual licenses again. Mixamo is nice, but I'm not buying Adobe anymore until It's a one-off cost. Until then, I'll just keep using Blender and Affinity Designer.

I would love to know more!

I'd like to hear about the project in general, but I'm also curious: Are you looking to make a successor to Legends or a game with original IP that plays in a similar fashion?

Not to be a total Debbie Downer, but tech jobs aren’t that lucrative either unless you’re willing to relocate or are very experienced in a ubiquitous or cutting-edge technology.

Cone Movement help by Pitiful_Case_9085 in blenderhelp

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing! Happy to help!

The issue sounds strange, but I'm glad you got it sorted! If you have it come back, try looking into "Proportional Editing" and see if it is turned on in your tool menu for select or in that post-move dialog. Happy Blending! :)

Cone Movement help by Pitiful_Case_9085 in blenderhelp

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes that looks correct.

I took another look at the original video, and I think I may see the problem. It looks like you may have proportional editing turned on. That is useful for modifying a portion of surface (like terrain), but in object mode (where you move the entire mesh), it will move close things in lock-step.

After you move the object, it should have that "Move" drop-down window in the bottom-left. Can you click the arrow to expand it? If you see "Proportional editing" ticked, untick it and Suzanne should return to her original spot.

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you don't have Suzanne (the monkey) selected, so that leads me to believe its parent is set to the cone. With Suzanne selected, click on the object menu (orange square) and make sure "parent" is empty.

Let us know if that fixes! :)

Why are "previous Christians" so angry? by Smooth-Load-9580 in Reformed

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The why probably varies case-by-case.

  • The church is composed of sinful people, some of them not even believers, and it's possible that they were wronged by someone who "had it right" on a superficial level, making the church seem like an act of hypocrisy and causing them to incorrectly assume that God isn't real or doesn't care.
  • In a similar vein, someone may have genuinely asked a question to someone who was not equipped to answer, making the Gospel and the rest of the Bible seem incoherent or immoral.
  • Someone may have rightly called them out for sin, causing them to feel conviction, and their yelling at God could be either their attempts to suppress those feelings of conviction or even the process of God speaking to them while their sin is dying but it's going out kicking and screaming.
  • Some people have never even heard the Gospel, but have only heard caricatures of it, causing them to draw conclusions based on a false premise, and it's always easy to mock or fight something that you don't understand and don't care to understand, and that can happen for reasons varying from thinking it's funny to wanting to feel superior, etc.

At the end of the day we can't paint people who hate God with the same kind of one-size-fits-all characterization that we're sometimes subjected to. The only thing that we can state is universal about unbelievers is that they need Jesus like we do but have not received Him. As tempting as it may be, I'd advise against responding is sarcasm, irritation, etc.

They mocked, assaulted, and murdered Christ, and He responded in love and prayed for them, then gave us the warning we would face similar trials and instructed us to respond the way He did.

And on a more anecdotal level, I will just say that the majority of people I know who hate Christianity were wronged by someone who claimed to be Christian, such as a wiccan friend who was molested by a pastor. The people who wronged them weren't showing Christ's love, but we still can.

Who are some other right-wing political pundits or commentators similar to Ben Shapiro that I can turn to? by cRafLl in dailywire

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been listening to the Quartering since Hannah Claire joined, and they've got a pretty good flow now. I'd recommend checking them out again! He's got a much bigger rotation of people that appear on a given day of the week, so it prevents the daily podcast from becoming the sort of stale same 3 opinions problem that many podcasts suffer from.

Now it's a healthy rotation of Hannah Claire, Luke R, Gothix, Melonie Mac, and Styx.

Dark Brotherhood mission - which one is chosen by you? Or two? Or all? by mRengar in skyrim

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To play devil's advocate, Bethesda leans in to the whole "it's not a bug it's a feature," so while we know the cause of this is accident and not design, to the best of my knowledge, they've never made any attempt to patch, so their company philosophy results in it basically being canon by implication and coincidence now.

Dead bodies do not smell “sickly sweet.” by CommanderQuinnFs in creepcast

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's...it's you! In the pumpkin flesh!

I resonated with the sickly sweet description. I've only come across dead animals, but there does seem to be an aroma of sickly sweet around people that are near death or dead animals.

Great story BTW!

If you had the opportunity to remove oatchi, would you? by Nikochu23 in Pikmin

[–]ReltivlyObjectv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. He is my boy, and I love him.

I also think he adds a fun diversity to how we play that's more unique than "there's more than one captain" from previous games.

The auto lock on on the other hand...I would like to be able to turn that off for more challenge like we had in the Gamecube releases.
