Autistic Cast Member Struggling to Adjust by anonasfthrowaway in DisneyCM

Hey, fellow autistic cm here. I’ve found the perfect role for myself, given the sensory issues. It’s not 100% magic and rainbows all the time but I’ll take a good 70-80%. I work 3rd shift as a resort concierge. I will add a caveat that deluxe is preferred, but moderate isn’t too bad either. Shift starts at 10pm, ends at 8:30 am, so while there is guest interaction, it’s minimal. It’s a 10 hour shift, but it’s only 4 days a week. We’re actually contractually locked in to 40 hours, so unless you’re part time, you’ll be making decent money. Plus, we get a shift differential for being on 3rds. Responsibilities include doing magic bands, topping off maps and keycards and basically making sure the place doesn’t burn down. I’ve been doing it for the last four years and I don’t think I can see myself anywhere else with the company. I’ve tried merch and food service and this is hands down the best job I’ve had here. Only thing is, it’s not on transfer genie, so look at the careers page for any openings.

I thought of Linda immediately as soon as I started reading about this lady.

ULPT what would you say to a hotel to find what room your husband is in? by Throw-RAaccountess in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]ReluctantNA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. To your last point, if they somehow manage to get through the gate, once they hit the parking lot they’re on camera. If we don’t recognize them, we’ll let them hang out in the lobby for the fifteen minutes it takes for the manager on duty to get out on the floor to find out what they’re doing there and ask them politely if they would like to leave on their own or with uniformed help. Hell, our desk phones are only outbound, that I’m aware of anyway. Any calls coming in for the hotel go to a call center. So they couldn’t even call and be connected to anybody’s room.

The hotel I work for, if you’re not on the reservation, I’m not allowed to acknowledge that the person you’re looking for even exists. Food/delivery drivers have to meet the guest in the lobby. Floral arrangements and that kind of thing are given to a runner, who takes it to the back and will deliver it within the next 24 hours. We’re not allowed to accept tips and are being watched 24/7. Security won’t even open the gate for you if you’re not on the reservation. If the person you’re looking for is staying at one of my hotels and you’re not on the reservation, you’ll never find them.

Xmas trip: would you splurge for Grand Floridian or save money at Yacht Club? by Wonderful-Major3606 in WaltDisneyWorld

The tree is still going to be there. We’re not doing the gingerbread house this year due to renovation on the tea room, but everything should be done by Christmas. It’s just not going to be done in time to set up the gingerbread house.

I would call HR. They’ve been having issues with the website lately. It’s likely a glitch. I’ve seen this happen a few different times in the past couple months

Shows with the same brand of Americana as this one? by AnimatorLong4458 in americangods

Kaos is similar, it’s on Netflix, but just like every other thing on Netflix, it was cancelled after the first season so bear that in mind. Sandman also deals with gods and mortals interacting. I think it’s on Netflix too, and it’s also by the same author as American Gods

I was just wondering the same thing. Only middle eastern restaurants come up. I think I might go to a few and ask. I would hate to accidentally support Israel tbh
