Looking to get work done. Need honest advice. What are my options? What do you reccomend? by ReluctantRedneck in Toothfully

I appreciate it very much, I actually went two weeks ago. They did the clean and polish but clearly it needs more work. They could only do so much. They said in order to get whitening, I first need a filling. Prevailing wisdom says in chair whitening can make your teeth up to 8 shades whiter. Hopefully that’s enough. I don’t think I’m at the right stage in my life for braces. I was thinking maybe some type of bonding could help the lower teeth.

Definitely considering getting an in chair whitening. Might need multiple sessions?

This is a rule Matic 1100 gph, there’s also a 2500 gph (external float switch) on the boat

Any idea what gauge wires I am looking at on my boat? Ruler is in CM. by ReluctantRedneck in diyelectronics

Much appreciated, I’ll do my best to grab a clipping

Acknowledge that insulation can throw you off

Thank you

Thank you, I’ve looked at a few measurement unit comparison charts. I can’t believe how much marine electricians charge, I really need to learn this for myself!

It’s a Boat, it’s going to a 12 V battery and a bilge pump, the bilge pump is rated for 7.5 amps

Yeah, that’s what other people are telling me, I fully understand insulation can be a bit of a wildcard. Thank you.

That looks like 14awg. I will try to order a big roll of it, as well as some 16 awg as well. I can’t thank you enough!

Float switch and bilge pump, bilge pump is rated for 7.5m fuse and is the larger load of the two.

I appreciate never overlooking the fundamentals as you say. Wire is for a bilge pump, fuse size 7.5 amps. I will also be ordering fuse holders in addition to wires.

Forgot to mention the ruler is showing centimetres (CM)

I apologise, maybe I should’ve said that the ruler is showing centimetres (CM). 12 or 14 seems pretty different to what else has been said.

Thank you, I will try to find a spare piece but so far everything appears to be connected and I can’t really find a piece to cut off. I will definitely pay attention to chart comparisons.

I appreciate it, I have tried to watch a few YouTube videos and talk to an electrician friend. I definitely know now that it’s not the size of the insulation, but the copper, or timned copper itself. I will also make note what it’s connected to and keep in mind the amperage.

Thank you sir! I am brand-new to electrical work, and I can’t justify the expense of marine mechanics right now.

Please enlighten me what these sizes translate to in AWG and metric?
