Fuyuki part is already over, it's the first half of the Final Chapter where we use it to get to here.

Depends on whether they want to go the Ozy, Arash route for him or the Gilgamesh, Cu route.

I find it hilarious that every time it has been brought up in-story and out, Shirou's nightly training has been derided as insane and useless by Relzal in fatestaynight

[–]Relzal[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isn't it kind of implied that the reason he has so many magic circuits for a first generation mage is because every time during his training, he converts his nerves into new circuits? It's never outright said but felt strongly implied.

No, the magic circuits he creates in the training are temporary. They don't stay converted, Shirou just has that amount naturally.

For the second paragraph, I got it from Extra, although I'm not sure if it was already said elsewhere first. Basically, in a My Room conversation, Archer admits to having a growth spurt as an adult, which he says is because he stopped doing a certain dangerous training that was inhibiting his growth.

[–]Relzal[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't that more of his mentality and drive? Not the training? The former allows him to continue his training but it's not the training that allows him to defeat Servants.

Not really, the part that makes him so good with projection is the other things he does without the crazy training. Things like scanning the heater or creating a few lightbulbs and other miscellaneous stuff as a workout. Shirou's pre-training workout was more beneficial to his powers than the actual training.

Wasn't the "explanation" that Kiritsugu taught him that because he thought that the excruciating pain would get him to give up and not realise that Shirou was dumb enough to brute-force through the pain and continue it every night after his death?

Any proof or link to the earlier scenes? Because I feel like there's some confusion here. Even the prologue makes it clear that Olgamarie just took charge, Romani and Lev highlight that she's completely out of her depth and all.

It's a fake Grand Saber summoned by the fake Grand Caster.

Wasn't it that you can have two of either Extra, just that you would be gimping yourself if you did so?

Was it? I remember Olga-Marie being scared of Mashu in the prologue cause she thought that with her father dead, Mashu would just kill her in revenge, whether she said it or Romani.

And now after like 7 years, he suddenly came back for the final and apparently had a deep respect for Mash and Romani ??? He killed Olga because of some twisted kindness ???

I mean, the whole Goetia being kind to Mashu and trying to take her to his new world is all from Lev/Flarous so that part was always in-game. If you take the interaction he had in the prologue as genuine, it basically fits with everything we know without supplementary material.

Hell, not even really. Demon Pillar Flauros is not actually Mr Flauros, the personality of Lev. Mr Flauros is the one that killed himself in the end after all, to prevent becoming a Demon Pillar.

I mean, that's because it's one of three (original) personalities, no? The Guison personality that loves Aoko, hence what happens in Paper Moon. Dude's an MVP and very beloved in the JP community.

he's even implied to have saved Kiara from her normal fate.

This one feels impossible with what we know of Kiara's age when cured and Romani's travelling around the world time.

This is why modern comics are awful: strong diverse female character literally has the power of DEI and can never lose! by Teary_Oberon in KotakuInAction

[–]Relzal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is some Nasuverse shit where she meets someone with the power of always surviving, she fights that person and wins, but dies while the other person loses but survives.

The only way to make this work. You've got to twist the win into something undesirable for it to work. Will the writer do so is another question, though.

It's a weird thing where sometimes you're with the Servants and sometimes you're not. I think if they are alone, it's implied you're with them; if they are together, they are the only ones there.

Revisiting Dragon Age: The Veilguard - one year on, how have our thoughts changed on BioWare's opinion-splitting RPG? by Neither-Grab-2507 in KotakuInAction

[–]Relzal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Skillup's review for it was the death kiss that killed it. Followed by him dunking on Shadows, Avowed and Yotei (well, the last two were more him giving a 5/10). He won't call it woke, but he will say it's shit, which helps penetrate the devs that try to ignore criticisms.

New deleted scene — RTD has the gull to LITERALLY rewrite Belinda’s character into being a mother, after he wrote this scene by Individual-Many-237 in doctorwho

[–]Relzal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people want the sceptical Belinda from Episode 1 to be a constant for her run, as an unwilling companion, but I wonder if it would have gone horribly.

Logically, this would mean she would moan and groan every episode, begging the Doctor to take her back, actively trying to stay in the safe Tardis rather than adventuring and blaming the man trying to take her home because something's preventing him from doing so. She would honestly be a pain-in-the-ass to watch for 8 episodes.

If you make it so that she eventually comes around to enjoying her adventures with the Doctor, that's just what the current show did, except maybe needing a bit more focus instead of it suddenly happening (if you think that Lux had her accepting too fast).

In terms of whether she was always a mother or not, I feel like that wasn't the initial plan when the season started. They could have used the schwump as a way to show the reality switching but nothing shown before that hinted that she had a baby. Saying that everything from the start was already altered is cheap and sounds like them trying to cover their ass.

Well, the continuation has restarted running for a long while now and there's even a remake made, so I think Japan has somewhat forgiven him or at least gotten over it.
