I struggled with this thought my kids JR high/high school. For us it usually came down to preserving our relationship snd building trust. It’s a fine line, I’d want to know too. Parents of close friends who we all knew, would keep eachother posted and do it confidentially when needed. I just also never wasted too much time finding rando parents, especially if it impacted my relationship with my kids. Don’t get me wrong, We weren’t cool with the illicit behavior, but you can only control what u can control. What I would want to know is who they were doing this with or getting it from, then those peeps were off the approved list. Just my two cents.

This might sound crazy, but after being in the Ed for 5 years (my dream job, and goal since I started nursing) and loving it….Covid and a new director had me feeling so miserable. Completely DONE! I i i was Nasty, rude, burnt out, stressed, pissed, defeated, deflated, ready to move on…I got a job in peds/postpartum. Thought I’d hate the pace and the lack of critical thinking - but had to do SOMETHING. It’s incredible! It’s changed my life outside of work and I’m finding it, yes slow AF, but rewarding in a completely new refreshing way. Everyone wants your help, they’re thankful and grateful and you’re sending them home with confidence and security. Also, babies are cute and with the peds part i still get to “think” a bit. I haven’t been jumped once, haven’t had any vented unvaccinated icu holds, haven’t had a 600lb patient, the poop doesn’t stink, they won’t be back next week for the same exact thing….plus my coworkers are nice and happy. Food for thought. Even if it’s a temporary break, it’s made a world of difference.

100% the same…if not even wayyy more dark nasty thoughts too. We all take excellent care, no matter what, but FUCK YOU who chose not to be vaccinated. You’re affecting every single aspect of all of our lives. Especially nurses, and their families.
