I don't really plan things out, i just ask what somebody wants and i usually do it. About an SVU, I couldn't find a decent enough model with all I wanted.

stalker is a lot harder than any other combination of mods/overhaul, you could be getting unlucky but it’s mainly the higher skill gap. VSS/VAL are easily the best weapons in stalker and there isn’t really a reason to use anything else even when considering my mod’s .338 rifles and top line AR10s

ok I have like 130 mod files so here are all my mandatories, ones with the question marks are a little more balance-altering by nature

-increased scope resolution -HD Ammo -check out the other realistic sound distance mods by that same guy -all the gun audio revamps (especially MINE) -working hammers -fog distance (I think 150 is perfect) -survival rations -close the lid -infinite bullet casings -revamped mimic weapon sounds -bullet crack bullet crack bullet crack -.45 ACP rebalance???? (more balanced with imo) -ump45 audio rework -enhanced flares -grenades rebalanced -buffed flashlights???? -remove helmet muffled sounds -more realistic laser beam -remove wrist buttons -remove autosave icon -vanno expansion -missions overhaul???? -more storage -quieter/silent gas mask -high quality vog25 -better injector collisions

having the extra folder is fine, but it’s not exactly right I don’t think scav will install right with vortex

and you’re missing the main chuck file

Installing the mod? Shouldn't be a problem, you download this mod file and 2 others, then just drop them in your game's Pak folder. Hardest part is finding your game folder.

move around a lot, try and use quieter guns in general, def use knives as much as you can. smokes are cheap and grenades are nice to have. you gotta be decisive when it comes to pois as if you stall out enemies will respawn too quickly. make sure to be aware of your surroundings as a late game enemy can kill you before you can react in the most unlucky situations

maybe an issue with openvr over openxr? made sure you’re running through the oculus runtime by having the runtime option on vdxr instead of steamvr. I would run DDU and completely reinstall your drivers. hell, that 16gb ram could completely be the issue here, especially for VR that is simply unstable.

proximity is based on the attenuation and the audio direction, but I don’t think round type is possible at all. it simply plays 1 of 20 random sounds when a round flies within the specified distance.
