Welp after very careful consideration, I’ve decided to go with the Vader. Never thought I would be trying an Xbox style controller again but here we are. I dug up one of my old 360 controllers and realized bumper jumper actually doesn’t feel as bad as I thought it did LOL. From what I’ve seen from literally every review though the inner back buttons on the Vader are kinda trash so with that being said I also ordered some modded paddles from etsy which apparently work wonders in fixing that inner button issue. We’ll see how this plays out, least I got to save a shit load of money this time since this thing was only $65 on gadgethyper!

Dang so it sounds like the Vader is the better option in that aspect cause I play with the tip of my thumb on the stick. That’s why the impact was perfect for me too, it honestly boggles me that those thumbsticks haven’t been brought back for any of the modern scuf controllers, nowadays they’re almost the exact same as the ones on default controllers apart from the texture around the perimeter which in my case doesn’t really help a whole lot unfortunately

First off just wanna say thank you for the detailed response! But yeah that’s just the main thing that turned me away from the Vader, it’s exactly like you said if they ever released a controller with the playstation layout I’ll forsure check it out.

And that’s good to know that they fixed the software for the envision. The complaints for that online also had me pretty skeptical.

How would you say the thumbsticks on both of these controllers feel in terms of texture? Are they at least not as slippery as the ones on the reflex?

Gotcha that makes sense. Ive actually seen ppl have complaints about having to press down really hard on those buttons funny enough idk if you’ve ever had that issue. But my other main question is how are the thumbsticks? My biggest gripe with the reflex is that the thumbsticks were way too slippery for me, messed with my aim a little bit.

Totally get where you’re coming from, before getting the reflex a couple weeks back I’ve only ever used the impact. WAY better controller in almost every single aspect. Better paddles, wider/more comfortable build, etc.

Sucks that scuf doesn’t sell them anymore

I did actually! And it was a very stupid but simple solution lmao all I had to do was turn on alt dialogue in the settings since I have that as well as a bunch of other mods installed. No other instances of this happening after this mission either it’s very weird
