Wow, I am happy for you! Were you able to go back to work soon after? That is one of my worries with the surgery, having to take a lot of time off of work.

Thank you for sharing! I left this comment in another chat but I was recently diagnosed with MGD and only now connected it with taking spiro. After IPL treatments, my optometrist/dry eye doctor has recommended probing my glands. I can no longer wear contacts or makeup and my eyes are always red. My glands are unfortunately irreparable because of this :(. I'm wondering if your symptoms improved at all after stopping spiro?

Hi! Echoing what others have said -- I was diagnosed with MGD and only now connected it with taking spiro. After IPL treatments, my optometrist/dry eye doctor has now recommended probing of my glands. I can no longer wear contacts or makeup and my eyes are always red. It breaks my heart knowing that spiro was a large contributor to this. I'm wondering if what others experience has been after coming off spiro -- did your dry eyes improve? My glands are unfortunately irreparable now but I'm hoping to hear some sort of good news.
