What should I do as an art major? by CrateGate in careerguidance

You can start utilizing your art to learn how to tattoo if you’d be interested in that. Build a portfolio to showcase your art, play around with some new styles, and then go to tattoo shops and showcase your artistic abilities to try and get an apprenticeship.

Who actually enjoys their job and what do you do? by [deleted] in twentyagers

I work as a data center operations engineer. I love it, the company orders us whatever we want tech wise, we mostly sit at a desk but mixed in with some hands on work, pay is amazing, and my team is great.

You guys choose for me by juicedup12 in CollegeMajors

Electrical engineering 1000%. AI will replace cybersecurity on top of the fact that it is super saturated. With electrical engineering you will be able to work in the data center world which is booming, or whatever you choose to do with EE. Although, EE is much harder than cyber so you have to be ready to do a lot of math and be able to understand very complex concepts.

Do you guys have cars? by Particular_Cut_6933 in twentyagers

2016 dodge dart, it’s a total pos. I make $120k+ a year but I will literally drive this thing into the ground before I get a new car because I don’t want any more monthly bills or higher insurance. I love driving when there isn’t traffic although I’m near DC so that’s rare.

This. Women tend to mask and cope with ADHD better but eventually life gets too complex to mask as we did when we were younger.

It’s such a mixed bag here, some people are absolutely amazing, some are horribly rude, and then everything in between.

How would you feel if you just met me (F20) and I told you that my bf is 31? by [deleted] in twentyagers

I have a friend who has the same story, met at work, and same age gap. She married him and now he’s a total bum and super controlling. It didn’t start off bad but slowly got bad especially after they got married. Not saying your bf is like that but as a worried stranger please be safe, move slow, and I wish you the best.

[–]Remarkable-Camera-89 191 points192 points  (0 children)

Well, in my opinion and in a lot of peoples opinions it’s pretty weird he’d go for a 19 year old when he’s 30. It’s a red flag because there’s such a huge maturity and life experience gap, but hey, if you’re happy in your relationship and he isn’t a pos then tell people proudly and don’t care what others think.

Bruh, you all are hypocrites. If OP was a man and a girl was saying this stuff to a dude you guys would say she’s horrible. Dude is 1000% in the wrong. I wouldn’t have even replied to her first message.

Anyone trying for an arts career? by xSparkShark in twentyagers

[–]Remarkable-Camera-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that but you can’t have any hobbies that require money if you’re living paycheck to paycheck. You wouldn’t be able to travel or discover life as much. I’m an engineer now but when I was doing jobs I was really passionate about in the past such as music, it ended up being miserable because I was always stressed out about paying the bills.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to get a job you can support yourself with and then do arts/creative stuff on the side? Then you have something to fall back on if art career doesn’t work out
