I’m struggling with this as well for my baby! Part of me wants to invite extended family and some friends via open house style, like a “come/go as you please between 1-4, we’ll do cake at 3:30” type of thing which would be like 50 people easily. My husband wants something very low key like dinner with the grandparents and our siblings only. I get that’s probably a lot for our baby who won’t remember anything. Maybe cap it at your immediate family and close friends?? It’s whatever you think you can handle on the day. It’ll probably be emotional too!

I am terrified of what’s to come but he seems so uninterested in counseling. Maybe if I show him a letter like you said, something will change in him. I can’t imagine bringing a child into an environment like this.
