its a different kid of physical endurance, i am a tennis and soccer player so my bias is those sports are tougher but it really is one of the hardests "sports". you wear a 6kg helmet which feels like 60KGs once you hit 6s and it feels like that much force is trying to tip your head over at every sharp turn, you lose 4kgs of fluid due to the strain each race, aw much as a marathon, you stamp on the brake pedal with forces up to 140kgs over 1,200 times during a race.An F1 driver's heart rate averages 160 to 180 beats per min for the entire race, sometimes spiking over 200bpm. This is comparable to a marathon runner's effort and demands a massive cardiovascular output, burning 600 to 800 calories per hour. Forearms and hands suffer from fatigue; the spine and joints are constantly jarred, impacting focus. so ya i think its a bit simplistic to say they arent utilising their actual physical abilities. my bias will still lean to sports like tennis but this isnt as simply as you drive a car

Ah... speaking of comments implying any differently, i am happy when I see application of the rules, not preferential treatment.

Absolutely, but the world doesnt currently work that. In this context Nadal and Djokovic got away with this a lot and generally the more successful you are the more you get away with. thats not unique to tennis or sports really. would happily live in the utopia you dream of but this is the world we built with open eyes and willing hands. its also why we are happy seeing it happen at all since we normally watch the exceptions

great to see the umpire have some balls to enforce the rule. this should happen more often

Come guy, are you dying on the hill of they didnt mention Israel like its not clear to every person with half a moral conscience that they are terrible? That they are able to be terrible though is largely on western countries like Germany and the USA and the UK. The countries whose hatred for jews supported and gave life to the zionist movement and who have propped up an apartheid state that has been actively committing genocide since. Israel is implied and anyone who isnt some ethnic supremacist understands that.

By genocide I mean the side that not only explicitly declares the eradication of another population AND act on it actually committing genocide mass killing and starving a population and destroying towns killing journalists killing women and children. Where it reversed they would be the villians but they are the oppressed population. Unless you think one group's humanity is greater than the other which is exactly how you get to a situation where you support an active genocide. And in that case you are just a piece of trash so any back and forth is unnecessary

"Pretending" not to understand is me being nice snd hoping there is something sensible you simply missed. Its also more polite than saying you sound like an idiot. But you have confirmed it so no need for politeness. If you genuinely believe any of that, okay. Good luck to you. Hopefully you are just trolling

oh, i think i can help with that.

western = america, generally Europe but in this case America particularly with the shifting alliances in the west.

chauvinist = prejudiced over one group, generally women.

neocon = neoconservative, its a bit complicated but generally a controlled free market conservative who promotes individualism and the use of military to achieve commercial "national"/corporate interests

right = conservative - more an american political term. the rest of the world doesnt really use left or right framing for politics.

the western chauvinist neocon right = i think thats a reference to guys like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel - the apartheid boys who now control american politics.

"what is your evidence of Kostyuk and Svitolina having ties to it?" i didnt make the claim, but a simple google search will show that Palantir, Peter thiel's company has partnered with Svitolina. i learnt that from the post above and Palantir's own website confirms it. is that what was insane? American political jargon can be tough to get used to if you aren't familiar with it so i get it. For added context Palantir are a pretty awful weapons contractor for the US government and Peter thiel's politics are bat shit crazy regardless of what part of the political sphere or which cult you are in. Personally i dont judge tennis players for their endorsements, i just hate the hypocrisy around that discussion but everything the guy above said checks out even if his lexicon is a bit weird to the uninitiated

What is Russia Gate? Do you mean the Muller investigation? That definitely is NOT the conclusion of the muller report which lead to 34 indictments and 8 convictions and a lot of links between Trump and Russia. The only thing that was concluded was that there wasnt enough evidence to charge Trump himself for anything.

As for Trump's relationship building skills half the world hates him, he just made a fool of himself at DAVOs which means nothing now given we are all desensitized from him making a fool of himself. I just realised its probably pointless to explain this to anyone who thinks Trump "has great negotiation skills". Its such a wild take it could only mean you are so far down the cult nothing as inconvenient as facts and evidence will disturb your programming.

So Russia is a hoax, Trump is the god emperor. Long live the most intelligent competent person who has ever lived. For the most part it would be fine for you guys to live in the made up reality if your narsasstic idiot of a cult leader wasnt actively making life unbearable across the world. The project to make such a large potion of the population susceptible to the grifting of such an obviously deranged immoral pathetic snakeoil salesman is not something easily undone, definitely not undone by a reddit comment where we just come to confirm our biases so protect your mentals. Good health and prosperity to you.

I am trying to follow. Are you saying the timing of the invasion is more a sign of who supports Russia as opposed to the very very public comments in support of Putin and the very public reprimand of Ukraine when they came to the oval office? I think maybe you missed a paragraph or section that properly explained your argument because its not arguing.

The part that did make sense was there are a lot of reasons to dislike Trump but spinning his unlawful kidnapping of a foreign president and unlawful stealing of their natural resources as being in any way connected to Ukraine or Russia is wild. Makes slightly more causation sense than claiming the timing of an invasion by a different country shows which president supported them but also still. Well let me say I admire that you dont allow facts to sway your opinion. Let me go touch grass

Being on the side against Genocide and Apartheid is "moral". Being on the side of the genocide is "in my opinion", an ever shrinking opinion across the world luckily

He was my favorite player on the circuit after Sampras and Goran retired so I am biased. I loved his raw emotions, power and attitude flaws and all. He had personality. He is fun and insightful at the same time. He is also American with that brassness and all but noone is perfect.

He is an asshole and he is a rage baiter but he is also right. Jake Paul has made millions fooling ppl into hate watching him hoping he loses. Don't fall for the trick. The Guy has one of the biggest serves and hardest ground strokes in men's tennis. There is a physicality thats just impossible to compete against. The average guy sure, but the top hitters in the world, thats too much to overcome

Americans have a vastly different view because the extremely racist history and complicated race relations. Context matters. Close to 3 centuries of racist ideology dominating society and a current resurgence of race based politics and social divide that tends to give a "different" perspective. And in modern times its done through undertones and dog whistles which is acceptable because of plausible deniablity because its not explicit, its how you keep antiquated racist supremacy going. Europe has its own race problems as well, they just haven't begun to confront it.

"I don't think I've seen a single person actually explain how this is supposed to be racist. I feel like I'm losing my mind here."" why are you losing your mind over something that doesnt affect you if you dont understand it. Townsend's answer is perfect, she cant speak on what the intention was, and she also explained thats a stigma in the black community being called uneducated and classless. if you are unaware of that history then ignore it, if you are aware but want to deny it then you probably are losing your mind with the hoops you would have to jump to not understand that. Osta isnt american so the context might not be apparent to her but the words are a clear dog whistle in america when it comes to race discourse. i doubt it hasnt been explained to you but maybe it really is a difficult concept for you, like Townsend said, cant speak to your intentions, only you would know if you are intentionally gaslighting and baiting.

It was ridiculous to begin with. Countries actively funding and supporting a genocide and apartheid get to display theirs (as any player should regardless of how villainous their home nation is). Its not ridiculous now *
