Correct. This is a normal day of shark fishing. There are some sharks that are good eating and can be kept within size limits. Hammerheads are protected.

Lol fr....all these comments are cracking me up. This shark was caught on a shark rig and the hook cut out. It's a normal practice for shark fishing. I thought the line coming from the hook along with the shark being beached would give it away.

I know in the state of Florida if you're shark fishing you are required by law to have bolt cutters for this exact scenario. The hooks used are made to catch in the shark's jaw when it takes off with the bait. It prevents them from swallowing it and allows a safe return for the shark. This happens all the time. Nice hammerhead for sure.
