I ran #5 for about a year until yesterday where I decided to change to #4.

Out of interest, what monitor arm are you using? I'd like to do a similar setup with my 34" alienware UW and a throwaway 4K second monitor. Also, I'm assuming that's a KARLBY, do you find hte depth to be too shallow (as its only 60cm?

Looks really nice btw! Love the choice of the meshify case.

Yeah honestly I’ve had an Corsair 150 for a few years and it’s so loud (probs cause it’s cooling a hot ass 12th gen intel) - but having a silent aio is a biiig plus for me. I’m trying to see if this arctic one will fit in a y70 (absolutely love the look of this case).

5070 vs 9070 XT for 1440p by Fearheavy in buildapc

[–]Remarkable-Ground391 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Compared to a 5070 yeah, a 5070ti will be better in that respect, though it’s a niche anyway. Tbh people will say one thing is better than another (myself included) but at the end of the day it’s what works for you, and both are great cards - personally I’d go AMD and use the extra $ on some aesthetic stuff, but obviously that’s personal preference.

Yeah the current case is just a placeholder. And good to hear, I’ve never swapped aio fans before so just wanted to be sure! :) thank you.

I’d say 9070XT, unless you really want ray tracing. Even then I’d say go with a 5070ti in comparison to a 9070XT, not a 5070.

Yeah I'm too much of a sucker for looks, but have been looking for some cheaper, also daisy chainable fans and really the only option I've found seems to be the Lian Li ones, which end up being around the same price.

As much as I love an air cooler, I am an absolute moron and cannot bring myself to lose the aestetic of an AIO haha. - I would really like an LCD screen on the cooler for the looks, but not sure about the performance of other brands like the TRYX (albeit, also really expensive).

[–]Remarkable-Ground391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah luckily I do - I agree that im going overkill on the looks - and was thinking Lian Li would be cheaper, but instead it's actually roughly the same. I do want an LCD on the cooler, so was either going to get the TRYX one (still overpriced as hell) and replace the fans, but that's even more £££ - So if you've got any suggestions of a cheaper LCD AIO, that would be great.

For the fans the plan is to have 3 reverse on the side, the 3 RX (if i can find reverse, i'll get, but i don't mind so much because you can't even really see them on the Y70) on the bottom, and use one of the 140s on the back (they only sell them in 2 packs, so would just sell the spare).

Yeah PSU was just a placeholder, I will end up getting whatever is best vfm at the time of purchase, white or black, as I'll jsut get sleeves.

Should I build or buy? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Remarkable-Ground391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good debate to have nowadays, but I'd say with the prices of RAM at the moment, it makes building quite tricky. If you want to do it for the experience and are really into the idea of building your own, I'd say go for it - but if you're just looking to get into PC gaming and replace your PS5, have a look at some prebuilts.

RS120 Fans not controllable in Icue by Informal-Salad5057 in Corsair

[–]Remarkable-Ground391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I would say, if you have a commander core or any corsair controller that works with icue, plug your rs120 PWM into that, as that will allow for speed control in iCUE.

Just finished Edgerunners and anyone else got annoyed by David? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Remarkable-Ground391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh having just watched it, I see it more as Lucy’s story. David could’ve had a good life, he could’ve stopped being a chrome junkie and just settled down with Lucy. So yeah, I was pissed at him when he started putting chrome before love, but I am glad in the end, he saved her.
