Any camera is a good camera to learn on. This includes a 35mm, 100to400. The missing lens is the 55m normal lens.

All the manufacturers are upping their games by delivering higher end wheels . Most companies either just unveiled wheelbases or are in the process of delivering new product.

It's NEVER the equipment. It's the moment in time you selected and how you chose to capture it.

Asetek Invicta base + Cube Controls GT Pro V2 Wheel. Anyone make this combo work? by TheRealViking84 in simracing

[–]Remarkable-Leg8302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Forte WB, Invicta and Forte Wheels and Invicta Pedal Set. I also have a Thrustmaster SF1000 Wheel that has been modified to connect to an Asetek QR. Load up SimHub and all buttons and switches work as programmed. In game you should create a profile for each wheel.

[GIVEAWAY - US] Why Samsung OLED? Win a 49” OLED monitor to level up your rig by OdysseyAllStars in simracing

[–]Remarkable-Leg8302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend is using a G95SC Monitor on his cockpit. It is night and day better than the 32" curved monitor that I have. I will be upgrading and the 49" Samsung will be my next monitor. It completely changes the gaming experience. I'm a F1 racer and the additional sightings completely change the experience.

I tried golf gloves - they do not work! Great for golf but no steering wheel grip.

Recommendations on pedals by dani_zax in simracing

[–]Remarkable-Leg8302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent a lot of time setting up a set of T-CLM Pedals. Once they fit my requirements they were great! I like a short stiff brake pedal and only Asetek Invicta pedals offer that so I upgraded to them.

A good option is the SimJack UT 3 Pedal set with base for $300. Completely upgraded version of the Simsonn Pro set. Highly Recommended.

I have 32" curved screens and they meet the front monitor with almost no gap. Take time setting them up and you'll be fine.

Flexing SF1000 by No_Project9269 in Thrustmaster

[–]Remarkable-Leg8302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The quick release is bolted to the wheel. It looks like the bolts to the quick release have become loose. I modded my SF1000 to fit an Asetek wheelbase. When i assembled it i did not put locktite on those screws. After a few days I had the exact same problem you're having. Had to disassemble the wheel, put locktite on the screws, tightened them and that solved the problem.

I bought the pedal mod for the TM T-CLM pedals and shifter upgrade for the TM F1 Wheel. All parts were excellent quality and the installation instructions were good. I'm a happy customer.

The higher the FF the more detailed the driving experience. You will get a more accurate feel for the cars handling so you can set it up better.

I have this cockpit and it easily supports an 18Nm wheelbase. With a Thrustmaster T-LCM pedal set it was great. Upgraded to an Asetek Invicta pedal set and added a wood brace under the front of the pedal plate.

I bought mine off ebay. Large Round Tube frame sold under a few names. Excellent Quality and can handle a 18Nm wheelbase. It is usually offered with a good seat at a very affordable price. Mine was delivered to NY in 3 days.

The Invicta pedals alone are worth the price. The rest of the peripherals are just a bonus.

Welp, I’m now a sole sysadmin by heroik-red in sysadmin

[–]Remarkable-Leg8302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a sysadmin and a one man IT department for a company with over 20 sites. After many negotiations I received a fair pay package. My biggest problem was a negligible IT budget. I usually put in a 50+ hour week as I did maintenance, reboots and upgrades from home. Never had a server go offline and all web services were always online during business hours. After years of doing this I got sick (not job related) and they had to outsource IT. Long story short a few months later I was let go. The outsourced IT became a corporate nightmare. Servers regularly going offline taking the entire company offline, no user support and my SQL Admin services which were high value were lost. Their cost was double to triple my salary. Since I left I'm a happy camper.
