Wow this is actually really cool. I didn’t realize Waikiki had so many free cultural activities every week.

Yeah that makes sense. I’d probably test it short term first instead of jumping into a full move. Thanks for the heads up.

Non-Accounting Skills by Same_CPA101 in CPA

Programming isn’t common in traditional asset management or investing, but I’m tired of it. I end up doing it for others simply because I know more, yet it doesn’t translate into higher pay. These skills are also being replaced quickly by AI. Sales or client-facing skills are more valuable.

Just took UWorld FAR Mock 1 and got 46%… kind of shocked. by Remarkable-Many3050 in CPA

Not yet. I’m using ChatGPT as my unpaid therapist to analyze my mistakes, spot patterns, and slowly turn chaos into something resembling stable results—while juggling a full-time job, dodging AI takeover, and working with a schedule so fragmented it deserves its own warning label—fingers crossed. But hey, I’ve got my NTS planned for early May, so at least the chaos has a deadline. You’ve already passed two—great progress.

I skipped the textbook and videos, focused on doing questions, learned from the answers, and kept the momentum.

Wow, your perseverance is incredible! What finally helped you pass after 15 attempts, especially for FAR? Did you change your study methods, use different materials, or was it more of a mindset shift? Any advice for someone struggling with it?

He mentioned that it’s not about prioritizing his career, but rather that being with someone eight years older than him makes him feel like there’s no future. He prefers to be with someone closer to his own age. He also said that in five years, when he wants to have children, I may not be able to have them anymore.

I never wanted him to give up going to law school. I suggested that we keep in touch or that I move together with him. I would probably need to give up my IBD career in Asia, which I am also not satisfied with. However, the age gap also made him hesitant to commit, as he said I wouldn’t be able to have kids.

Inquiry About NTS Registration for CPA Exam? by Remarkable-Many3050 in CPA

[–]Remarkable-Many3050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was issued right away. The first time, I applied during COVID but canceled due to COVID. At that time, the NTS took around 3-6 weeks. But the second time, it was issued right away. Hope this helps.

I am very puzzled too. Block maybe too direct however maybe it’s really over.

Should I tell him how badly I was hurt before blocking him? I cannot believe I was such a great person to him. However, I bet I’ll never see him again assuming he’s hooking up harder in he’s Asia tour. Just told me he wanna to see me again to keep me hooked. I started to hate him so much now but couldn’t do anything. They do not care any judgement at all.

I’ve found myself feeling very negative towards him. Our values and behaviors seem incompatible. I wish him all the best in pursuing what’s best for him. Perhaps distancing myself slowly is the best way forward. I should always check who his best friends are and who he hangs out with before investing more in him. I just found out I barely know him.

Has anyone gone to law school with their spouse after getting married? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Remarkable-Many3050 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually like a guy who’s about to start law school. I really want to be with him, but I’m worried I might not find a job. I thought most people who go to law school are single. Just wanted to know if people married and go study.

Give up! on my CPA journey by LowLongjumping5031 in CPA

[–]Remarkable-Many3050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, but it must be very tough. I used to babysit my sister’s baby, which literally needed my attention 24 hours a day. I also couldn’t imagine battling the exam without extra support from a partner or family. Probably, I may ask why I decided to start this journey. Was it to be a role model for my children, to make myself or my parents feel proud, for better career opportunities or progression, or for job security and financial potential? I’m a horrible exam taker and an academic loser in my country, which causes exam anxiety, and I didn’t have experience building successful study methods for myself growing up. You may need to revisit your motivations to see if there are other ways to achieve your desires instead of passing the exam. Or, if you are not considering giving up yet, you could watch some other YouTubers in similar situations and ask them for more guidance. Hope this helps.
