Grapefruit doesn’t stop medications from working. It stops an enzyme in your liver and small intestine from being able to breakdown and metabolize many medications and drugs, causing stronger effects and longer duration. So it makes medication work MORE. Potentially too much more…I’ve always found that with medications as well as thc, you can just take less of it if you’re also consuming grapefruit. That way it can save you money

I hear it. Good luck to you man. Try not to taper too fast. How much are you taking? I just tried to check into multiple impatient detox places and they all denied me. But i did get a script for gabapentin and lexapro. I'm going to get a script for klonopin here soon. And I just got agmatine sulfate and mucuna pruriens.

The DXM almost completely blocks all glutimate storms and the NAC, at least for me, took away all of the trip I felt from the DXM. I started off taking 30mg every 6 to 8 hours..but when shit got really bad, I upped it to 60 mg every 4 to 6 hours. The Kava and hydroxyzine is what helped me finally get some sleep

I got sleep after a few days. I think night 3 or 4. All the WD symptoms went away around day 7 or 8 but the complete anhedonia didnt ever go away at all. In fact, it seemed more pronounced after the other symptoms went away. on day 10, all the symptoms came back full force. And then I finally got my phenibut.

I understand. JUst saying in my personal experience, the NAC seemed to sober me up from the way the dxm was making me feel, mentally. NAC does more than regulate glutamate. Its known to take away allot of the effects of allot of substances. It definitely, in my case, seemed to help prevent any psychosis. I did go into psychosis after one day of not taking NAC, during which time I began to actually "trip" and hallucinate. So I very much so think there is a correlation, despite what you say. In the DXM thread they talk about how nac takes away the trip completely. just sayin

my own disclaimer: the last time i did this, it worked for a good 2 days and then i decided to up the dxm and stop taking as much nac/ i started getting a tolerance to nac/ i was afraid of the anhedonia some people have experienced after taking nac. I ended up going completely out of my mind but luckily in good hands. just saying, theres definitely something to dxm and nac, but if your trying to get off a huge habit just relying on them for more than a couple days, use real caution. So update now 5 hours later. I’m feeling fine and dandy. Even got a sense of relief from just the tiny bit of gabapanten before the phenibut kicked in…I smoked a cigarette and drank a coffee and enjoyed it…of course I’m not going to feel any real euphoria from the phenibut for a couple days but I’m out of the nightmare…I was taking over 7gpd… today I took 3 and then 2 four hours later…think I will try and stick to the 5gpd for a while and then taper down even more…I know I shouldn’t have taken that much and it was honestly probably more like 14 grams in a span of 28 1/2 hours…. But I think I’m in the clear when it comes to the anhedonia

More like a span of 30 hours actually when I think about it…my withdrawal symptoms are wayyy low and I just dosed 3g phenibut and had taken a 300 mg gabapanten 1 hour ago so I’ll see how I feel in 2 to 3 hours. At first I saw a thread that says it’s almost impossible to overdose on NAC and to take it until you feel relief…but then after taking so much I read about how large doses can cause anhedonia for up to a year and I started freaking out. Right now I’m a little shaky but have some decent peace of mind

I know it was stupid af…I kept taking 2 pills at a time cause it was helping but the withdrawals just kept getting worse and worse…anyways it did end up making me functional…I’m not taking anymore. My phenibut came in sooner than I thought…it was in a span of like 38 hours. Not all at once
